meme: more than meets the eye
It's cold, I don't wanna work, and let's be real I haven't been around for like a year so I'm sure I'm missing stuff about people's characters. And the last time we did this was September of last year, so.
Now gimme things to read while I'm avoiding being productive!
There are certain characteristics about the people we play that *we* know, but we get tired of repeating in every introductory ping. There's also stuff that players wouldn't really be able to figure out just looking at an icon--how tall someone is, if they have an accent, what kind of clothes they are wearing...and in some cases, if their eyes/hair/whatever are different than the PB we've picked.
So wax poetic about what your characters look/sound like, if they have tics or scars, if they have a distinct singing voice, etc!
Now gimme things to read while I'm avoiding being productive!
Rey
-Totally has freckles from a lot of time in the sun.
-Currently about 5'6" and thin and wiry. She definitely didn't get to eat much for the last ten years, and she's all arms and legs. She's going to get taller, too.
-She's also very active and moves easily, with a habit of literally popping back up if she gets knocked down.
-She's got brown hair, usually pulled back in three knots in a line down the back of her head to keep it out of her face, but she's always got some hair coming out of it around her face.
-Is somewhat ambidextrous. She's left-handed but can fight and shoot with her right hand just as easily.
-She likes to wear her clothes from home, which is loose capri pants, a long tunic, and what I can only think to call arm warmers, along with what looks like the world's most comfortable boots.
-Often carries a staff on her back if she thinks she'll need it. If there's a fight, she absolutely has it.
-I have no idea what to call her accent in Star Wars terms, so she sounds British. There.
Kitty Pryde-Barton
-Brown/hazel eyes. They're described in stuff as hazel but colored as brown and the PB has hazel eyes so it's one of the two.
-5'6", and kinda tiny, frame-wise. She's got a dancer's build and unlike a lot of comics characters from the 80's, actually has a normally-proportioned body.
-Almost 25 years old, and doesn't look like a student anymore.
-Is nearsighted and wears glasses sometimes, for reading and detail work mostly.
-She's from Chicago but has lived in other places for years, so if she has an accent at all it probably shows up in flat vowels here and there.
-Her natural state is intangible, and she's solid basically through sheer force of will. My personal rule is, if you're trying to hurt her, she's probably not getting hit (tbh it's funnier), but if you're not, it's fine to touch her. She doesn't appear any different between the two states.
-Kitty's a pretty casual dresser, big on jeans and t-shirts, though she's been known to rock the midriff once in a while.
-When she really tries to put together an outfit it might be a bit of a disaster.
-Sometimes wears a Star of David necklace.
-Used to have both a navel ring and a few piercings in each ear, but those got healed up after dying and being made whole again. Now she's got two holes in each ear that she probably got just for the wedding.
-Wears her wedding and engagement rings on her left hand.
Jaina Solo
-Dark brown hair, about halfway down her back, and usually left down.
-In scary good shape. She's mostly muscle. Girl trains like it's her job, which it sort of is. She had twins six months ago and the second she got the okay to get back to training, she got back to it.
-Her preferred clothes are simple, just a shirt and pants or flightsuits. She does dress up a little more when she needs to be official, though.
-However in Fandom, she learned as a teenager that every time something invades she gets guts all over her clothes and she's tired of ruining the stuff from back home. So it's totally common to see her in jeans and a tank top, usually black.
-Canonically has decent fashion sense. I know.
-No accent. Despite growing up on the same planet as Ben.
-Always has her lightsaber (purple!) on her, unless otherwise stated. If she can't wear it, she brings a purse that she can hide it in.
-Basically just has a collection of faded scars. Most notably, there's a lightsaber scar on her stomach and some old burn scars on her back that have mostly healed up and faded.
-Doesn't actually have the dimples Sophia does.
-Brown eyes. One might call them brandy brown. Ad nauseum.
-Is 37, but I actually tried doing the math and figured out that she's physically about two years younger than her numerical age. (My old job was boring.)
-Wears a wedding ring, but otherwise typically stays away from jewelry.
Marasiah Fel
-5'6" and in good shape, with great abs.
-Has long brown hair that's almost to her waist now with a white streak right up at the front of her hairline, despite the icons. She usually either leaves her hair down or pulls it half back unless she's officially being princessy. Then it usually goes up.
-Brown eyes, also despite the icons.
-Has the symbol of the Fel Empire tattooed on her lower back. The "yolt" is long removed.
-Her clothes are amazing, even her flightsuits are structured. There's a decent amount of white and off-the-shoulder stuff in her wardrobe.
-When she’s out on the mainland she tends to dress to blend in, so she might wear jeans or a dress she got in town. You’ll never see her dress down too much, though.
-She has new Imperial Knight armor! It’s red, and deflects lightsaber hits. Underneath are black pants and a shirt that’s basically a turtleneck, with black gloves, so all that’s exposed is her head.
-Has a lightsaber (silver!) on her whenever she's able to carry it, but she tends to keep it concealed.
-It's probably impossible to shake the poise off of her.
-No discernible accent. Even though she's Imperial and I feel she should be British, apparently it doesn't work that way.
-Isn't a big smiler. She's not adverse to smiling, but it's not an automatic reaction to most things.
-She has a great glare, though.
Brooke Davis
-5'4" and doesn't really work out, but does yoga and pilates so she's little and toned.
-Naturally brown hair, currently pretty reddish, and cut above her shoulders. Her hair changes a lot.
-Brown eyes.
-Has adorable dimples.
-Has a raspy voice, which you can hear here if you'd like and turn down the sound for the obnoxious song at the start.
-Wears designer clothes, some she made, some she didn't. Which means there are occasionally some wtfy pieces in her wardrobe, but they have a good label, so.
-Has zero sense of personal space when she's flirting with somebody. Zero.
Jono Starsmore
- 5'9" tall, lightly muscular by comic book standards (he can probably hold his own in an arm wrestling competition against the normals), and fairly slim- he weighs 140 lbs. We're assuming that this is his weight with or without the gaping hole in him, and that the psionic energy that's billowing from him makes up the difference. Or something.
- Brown hair that looks almost red-tinted in certain light, and chestnut eyes. Which occasionally flicker to solid white, generally when he's feeling particularly moody, or sparking orange, when he's outright pissed off.
- He wears a lot of leather. A LOT of leather. Usually at least a leather pants and leather jacket combination, though sometimes he'll wrap himself up with leather bandages, too. His icons will reflect whether he's going full out on-fire or goth-mummy whenever possible, and if they don't, I'll specify which is it in narrative. More often than not, he's not wearing the wrappings these days, though.
- British, with an accent that lilts towards Cockney, though he's been in America long enough that it's mellowed out somewhat.
- Also, he speaks telepathically.
- He smells like burning sulphur. Or burning tires. Or burning garbage. It all depends on how anti-mutant you want to come off as when you notice the smell, apparently.
- When he's wearing his bandages, which is pretty much any time that he's out in public while he's not on the island, they fill out now so that you can barely tell there's nothing under there. He's gotten better with controlling his flames now, so it looks like there's a jaw in there.
- Also? Burn-scars. Just because Marvel's artists got lazy and nixed them in his character design about a dozen or so issues in doesn't mean they're not there. From under the bandages right up over his cheeks, a few reaching even up to his forehead.
- Sans-bandages, his hair tends to tousle about a bit in all directions, presumably from some kind of energy coming off of the flames, which billow out from where his upper lip would be right on down over his chest to where his bellybutton ought to be. What skin is left around those flames is ragged and scarred. His eyes are almost always the solid white when the flames are out. Presumably for the scary factor. This is Jono, after all.
- The flames aren't hot, though. He can control whether or not it's fire-that-burns, and he's not big on burning down the island or hurting people, so...
- His fire plays mood-ring, sometimes! When he's seriously mellow or at least trying to put off a soothing vibe, it shifts to blue flame. When he's angry, there are extra sparks and curls of red-orange and yellow flame. Most of the time, it's more like staring into a campfire, though it curls out in all directions from his chest.
Sparkle
- He used to wear eye make-up, mostly to freak people out. He doesn't, so much, anymore. Even if the icons say otherwise when he's paid up. He's been trying to dress a little more nicely, too.
- He's got short black hair (also in spite of any of his icons that might be blonde these days), that he still occasionally spikes when he feels like it, and green eyes.
- Central Canadian accent, naturally. Which isn't much different from your basic homogenized American accent, either. Unless you know what to listen for, it'd be hard to peg him as the one Canuck among Americans by listening to his voice alone.
- He does smoke, so it's not uncommon for him to have a bit of cigarette smell clinging to his clothes. (He'll also, less frequently, smoke weed, but he tries not to go out in public reeking of it.)
- He's got a pretty long stride when he walks- it's more a matter of pride and a forced projection of self-confidence that isn't necessarily there than a matter of long legs or anything. He still carries himself a bit like a guy with everything to prove.
- If you're a hot older guy and you think he's checking you out, yes, he is.
- Apparently I got kerfruffled at some point and COMPLETELY FORGOT HOW OLD HE IS. Math is hard? We're going with 21. Because timey-wimey whatever he was in Toronto for a bit this stuff happens.
Peridot
- But the inside of her mouth and her tongue are blue.
- She's short. Like, three feet tall, short. Not-tall-enough-to-ride-this-ride short.
- GIANT TRIANGLUAR HAIR. Just like in the icons, yes.
- So, her clothes, which are skintight an patterned in shades of greens with yellow diamonds, aren't actually clothes. They're a part of her body, which isn't technically a body at all so much as a hard-light projection from her gem. If you're the sort to notice little things like 'is not actually an organic being made of flesh and blood,' that little tidbit will probably jump out at you.
- She's got a bit of a nasal voice -- Just like this!
- She doesn't breathe. She doesn't sleep. She doesn't eat. She sees little point in doing any of these things.
- Will often have a tag-along in the form of a tiny pumpkin dog. An actual, literal, pumpkin-dog. Pumpkin is about the size of a basketball and is very friendly!
Kanan Jarrus
- The lightsaber that he's carrying on his belt while he's on the island is probably also a dead giveaway. He'll still take it apart and hide it when he travels, but around Fandom he's started wearing it visibly again.
- He's also got a holster for a blaster at his hip. Complete with blaster. He isn't teaching these days, so he sees no reason to leave it behind when he leaves the apartment.
- He has one hell of a way with animals. Yes, it's a Jedi thing. No, he'll never admit it. But they seem, for the most part, to get along with him quite well.
- He's also surprisingly acrobatic. Yes, it's also a Jedi thing. Yes, he'll deny that one, too.
- He sounds an awful lot like Freddie Prinze Jr. for some reason or another.
- Dark hair that's brown-to-black depending on the light, always pulled back into a ponytail. A beard that covers just his chin, no mustache in sight, and some pretty darn severe eyebrows. He's prone to stroking his beard thoughtfully when he's under pressure. (It's his one tell that he's actually thinking hard. It kind of takes the place of a 'running his hands through his hair when he's anxous' tell that he got rid of by pulling his hair into that ponytail.)
- Blue-green eyes. They are very pretty and SHUT UP THIS HURTS ME
Breq
- Canon is very clear that she doesn't have a good voice, which is sad because she likes singing. I do bring that up too now and then.
- She is humming songs a lot, which I don't always mention.
- I can't remember if canon says explicitly how tall she is, but I'm thinking Breq is slightly under medium height.
- She has dark skin and short, dark hair, a lot like the PB. Just more expressionless.
- I haven't really decided what kind of accent she would have! In my head it's been something vaguely British, since I listened to the British audio book.
- She is fit, but a lot stronger and faster than she seems, due to being an ancillary.
- She also has an implanted shield that she can activate at will. It is nearly impenetrable and looks like her entire body has been covered by a metallic surface.
- Her body is sixteen years old. Her AI mind is two thousand.
- She has implants in her brain which is how the body was connected to the AI. They can also let her connect to other ships in her own universe.
- She has stopped wearing gloves and now wears contemporary Fandom clothes that are practical and comfortable.
Reno
- Tall and lanky. Somewhere around six feet? It's hard to tell with his posture.
- Paaaaaale. He grew up under a giant piece of sheet metal, and he's a redhead. He doesn't tan. He burns, it peels, and then the skin underneath is new, exciting shades of pale.
- Red hair! BZZT, red hair. Which sticks up in all directions, though stylishly, and ends in a ponytail that is long enough for him to sit on if he flops backward too carelessly.
- He slouches. Often. He'd probably look taller than he already does if he'd just stand up straight, already.
- And he swaggers. He is made of Hot Shit, and he knows it, and he wants you to know it, too.
- Blue eyes. Fairly bright, though not quite as electric blue as Zack's. They kind of waver between blue, blue-grey, and blue-green with the lighting.
- Matching red slash-mark tattoos under each eye. He's also got a tattoo of a sun on his right bicep, and a drunken blue baby plush chocobo on his behind LOOK MEXICO WAS A GOOD TIME OKAY?
- He's prone to sticking his tongue out at you, just because he feels like it.
- He always, always speaks in a lazy, slightly nasal sort of drawl. And abuses slang. And doesn't care about grammar. And there is nothing you can do about it, yo.
- He doesn't believe in the top four or five buttons of a shirt, that clothing was made to be tucked in, or that neckties serve any purpose beyond strangling the wearer to death.
- And he will always have his stun-baton somewhere on his person, now that he's off the island and there's nobody to take it from him. And goggles are a perfectly acceptable piece of headgear, thank you very much. They keep his hair out of his eyes. And silver hoop earrings are TOTALLY MANLY. Shut up.
Zack Fair
- And he's got himself an athletic physique. He's not OMG BUFF or anything, but he's got himself a pretty nice set of arms.
- And eyes. His eyes are a practically luminescent shade of bright blue. It's particularly noticeable, if you're the sort of person to make eye contact.
- He's not always in his SOLIDER uniform these days, preferring casual clothes - t-shirts and jeans and the like - over the uniform of the company that hurt him so badly. That said, he'll still trot it out for invasions, since it has room for all his gear. Essentially, it's a glorified jumpsuit with a turtleneck, some shoulder plates, and a leather girdle... thing.
- His hair is black, reaches about mid-shoulder, and he wears it all spiked backward, with the exception of one strand of bang in the front that hangs down to about his chin.
- There's also an X-shaped scar on his left cheek, fairly noticeable.
- He's not quite as subdued as his icons would suggest, these days. I'm just too lazy/broke to spring for more icon slots. It's pretty safe to assume that he's smiling at least slightly these days unless the narrative suggests otherwise.
- I should include his sword, here, too. You know, the Buster Sword. Which is as big as he is. It's all Final Fantasy iconic and stuff. You can assume he's got it with him so long as he's not anywhere that doesn't allow weapons.
Nathan Algren
Norman Babcock
- Norman is fifteen years old, in spite of what any icons from his canon might look like. I'm going to try to fill out his icon roster with a PB, because pinging a teenager around with icons that make him look eleven kind of weirds me out, even though he's actually from a visual canon. I'm thinking Colin Morgan. His hair doesn't stick straight up, but he's definitely got the ears.
- ... Yeah, Norman has big, sticky-outy ears. His canon is full of lovingly rendered not-terribly-pretty people, and I love that so, so much about it.
- In spite of whatever icons he has, his brown hair is always, always sticking straight upwards. He's been trying to tame it since he was a kid. It's never going to behave for him.
- Blue! His eyes are blue! And his irises are actually kind of faceted- not actual circles, but octagonal shaped, like everyone in his family line who can speak to the dead.
- He carries himself in a sort of 'leave me alone' slouch, unless he feels really comfortable around people.
- He's also prone to staring off into space and having one-sided conversations with nobody in particular. Unless you're capable of seeing ghosts, too. In which case, hey, he's really friendly towards dead people. Or dead dogs. Or dead raccoons...
- He's probably got more horror comics in his backpack than actual school books.

- Tall, although not extremely so.
- Dark skin, dark hair. Canon doesn't specify much apart from that. Well, good looking too. I was looking for a PB with long braided hair but I couldn't find anyone. In my head she would have that, so I'm assuming she just cut it.
- Thanks to Sparkle being generous, she has clothes to wear, contemporary Fandom style. She has some pins attached to her shirt or jacket that were exchanged with people close to her. A thousand years ago.
- 48 years old (plus the 1000 years in suspension), but looks ten years younger. That's a Radchaai thing.
- Canon says upper-class old-fashioned Radchaai accent (with more swearing than I'm able to fit in), and as with Breq, because of the audio book, in my head she sounds British.
- She comes from a society that's very hierarchical and where she was very privileged, so she has the body language that comes with that, and can emphasize it when she wants to.
- She isn't as fit as she used to be, and should eat more, so skinnier than she once was when she was an officer.
- Still has 30 years of experience as an officer though, so some instincts when it comes to fighting.
- Like Breq, Seivarden also has implants that allows a ship or station AI to track an monitor her, and for her to communicate when there. Among other things. The Radchaai don't care much about their ships knowing their heart rate and listening to their every conversation.

Mitsutada Shokudaikiri
- I constantly forget to mention that the one eye Mitsutada has is gold. Not like, the metal, but like his eye color. All the Date swords have gold eyes. For some reason.
- Only owns two different outfits - formal suit with or without armor plates, and track suits. All the track suits. Assume track suit if I don't mention anything else.
- He's 6' 1" tall. Or more accurately, 186 cm.
- Also always assume he has his sword at his hip. It's himself, he kinda keeps it nearby.
Prince Sidon
-Is red. Like, very red, with a white underbelly. The Zora come in a variety of colors, but red is unusual for a male Zora. He has gills along the side of his torso, and colorful fins of yellow and turquoise sprouting from his shoulders, his forearms and falling from his hips and around his backside like a skirt. He has a big, broad chest, a very long torso (most of his height is torso), and rather short legs for his height. His hands are slightly webbed, with long yellow fingernails, and his feet are sort of...forked? Two main toes, mostly, with really sharp yellow nail on his big toe. He has bright yellow eyes with long, vertical pupils (like a cat, almost), no nose to really speak of, and very sharp teeth.
-Also, there's a shark on his head. At least, it looks like there's a shark on his head, but it's not a shark on his head, that's just the shape of his head. The front end falls forward dramatically, nearly covering his eyes, with the fins framing his face, covering his ears, and then the tail falling back behind his head and down his back. The size of a Zora's head tail typically stays the same throughout his or her life, and Sidon's head tail is quite big to suit his massive size, so you can imagine how cumbersome it was as a child (seriously, though, baby Sidon is the cutest thing in the world and I'm still really sad over the fact that he didn't emerge until two weeks after weetiny weekend).
-Is technically naked, but, hey, he wears it well! What a clever design in the species that his gills and fins just happen to make it look like he's wearing actual clothes, spruced up with pretty pointless accessories. He is almost always wearing his necklace, his cravat, his royal sash, golden cords, his shoulder pads, belt, anklets, wristlets, and headpiece, intricately wrought pieces of jewelry studded with turquoise gems.
-Is much older than he seems. Zora live for a very long time, but Sidon, at 75, is still quite young by Zora standards (about a human 15 year old).
-Speaks with a slightly affected British-like accent. Perhaps a bit higher than one might expect for his side, but very bright and sing-song
-His movements tend to be quite grand and expressive, from his gestures to his over-enthusiastic greetings to making grand leaps and flips whenever he gets the chance (which he hasn't gotten to do much around here, the cliffs here are depressingly small). He is, naturally, a fantastic swimmer and an excellent diver, but also quite good with poled weapons and a bow and arrow.
Amaya Blackstone
-Is a pretty average height, maybe around 5'7", with a slightly stocky build. Nice strong arms and shoulders from all that blacksmithing, and she rarely skips leg day, either.
-Slightly tanned skin; she's losing a bit of the constant ruddiness to her cheeks from not being in front of a forge fire all the time, and very, very thick dark brown hair with a significant fringe bang, about shoulder length and very full and floofy. Her eyes are probably her prettiest feature, being a very crisp and clear blue that'll just pierce right into you. She also has the cutest little button nose and will probably deck you if you point it out.
-Almost always wearing a practical and simple outfit of a sturdy teal skirt about mid-shin length, a loose green corset over a blousy white shirt, slightly off the shoulder, with the sleeves tied up with red string. And yes, that shirt does well to show off her ample cleavage which always throws me considering this is a family game here. She wears sturdy, though slightly slouchy brown boots, and, as mentioned above, her trusty old work gloves, which she pretty much feels naked without.
-As so many other things about Amaya are sturdy, so is her voice, a great solid husky voice. You know, she actually sounds a bit like Zelda Williams, now that you mention it...
-Will almost definitely have a hammer or wrench or some other tool inexplicably tucked away on her person somewhere at all times.
Molly Squidpiddge
- Molly is a 17 year old (slightly shifted from canon) girl who admittedly has been 17 (and dead) for a couple years but spent most of that as a zombie slowly regaining her mental faculties so didn't exactly experience any emotional or intellectual growth.
- Molly has pale porcelain skin. This was the case even before she was dead.
- Her eyes are partially cloudy cause she's, well, dead. She's gonna be wearing dark glasses to try and hide this, to start.
- She smells faintly of death because... you guessed it, dead. She wears perfume to cover this up.
- She will be dressing like it's 1907. Because she's from 1907.
- Did I mention she's dead?
Ada Miller
→ Tends to either wear her hair down with her curls flying everywhere, or in a loose ponytail. She has a lot of hair, and sometimes it just gets in the way. But however she wears it, it's almost always covering her neck at least partially.
→ Her accent is a mix of her mama's pure Alabama native, and generalized Southern United States. The carnival lives just outside of Phoenix, AZ for three or four months a year, then travels the South and Midwest. She puts on a totally bland could-be-from-anywhere Midwest accent when performing, and can mimic almost anything if she wants, but doesn't bother on Fandom.
→ Very faint scars around her wrists that resemble rope-burn, which she rubs at when she's upset or lost in her own head. Similar scars near both ankles, but given her propensity for wearing boots, they shouldn't be seen that often. Both sets are the result of a trauma she really does not want to talk about, so bringing them up will result in her shutting down and walking off.
→ Ada is a member of 'Please let it be hot out because the less clothes the better' club. Any given day during the spring and summer, Ada is wearing short-shorts or a skirt, a tank-top, and slightly large cowboy boots. And a LOT of body glitter. She uses it to camouflage her scales...
→ Oh yeah, she's got scales because she's a mermaid. Ada is not 'out' about her crypid status at Fandom. A select few people know, but she's had the importance of passing as human drilled into her since she was weetiny, so she generally makes an attempt to blend in when around so many non-family people, and she is very, very good at it.
→ Current Scale Status: Her scales are currently an iridescent coppery/gold color, which makes it pretty easy to blend with body glitter and her skin tone.
Scales about the size of craft glitter are all along her collarbone, at the small of her back, across her abdomen where she got stabbed by the Brood, on the tops of her thighs, and in the fold of her elbow. Her biggest scales are the size of her thumb nail, and are located at the nape of her neck.
→ Webbed toes (hence her hate of shoes and inability to wear ones in her size), and very small webs between her fingers, and the scales. If you cut Ada, she bleeds blood, it's just got different DNA.
→ Non-magical 1000%. Mermaids in her world are evolution, not magic, so if you sense magic you won't get anything off her. If you can smell/sense non-humans, then Ada will ping strangely. While her father was human, mermaid DNA says "Bzzzpt! You Lose!" and Ada's doomed to end up fully aquatic eventually.
→ Fairly graceful, and clearly at home in her own body. Has great spatial sense, because Mermaid Evolution and needing to be able to think/move in multiple directions at the same time.
→ During cold weather, will wear more long skirts/dresses, eventually switching to pants and SO MANY LAYERS OF SWEATERS. SO MANY. Ada doesn't like restrictive clothing because it's uncomfortable on her scales, but she gets cold super-easy.

- Despite having a fairly standard North American accent, tends to drop H's.
- If for whatever reason, you get a look at his blood or DNA, his blood has some definitely-not-human markers and his DNA has a triple helix instead of the standard human double.
- Runs a little hotter than your average human, due to one third of his parentage coming from an energy-based species.
Summer Smith
-Totally wishes her boobs were bigger.
-Has a long face and a longer nose to match; takes after her father in physicality, which she absolutely hates
-Reddish-blonde hair, which she usually wears in a ponytail. When she wears it down, it's just slightly past her shoulders in length and seems to get pretty frizzy/tangled easily, so that's probably why she prefers to wear it up more often than not.
-Although she loves fashion and will sometimes mix it up, Summer's ultimate comfort outfit is a bright pink top and white capris, nice simple and comfortable black flat slip-on shoes. ✖ No, seriously, he created The Trenchcoat Brigade trope. That is how he always dresses.
✖ Has a number of tattoos on his back and arms. At least three of them are just 'fuck you' in obscure/dead languages, but the rest are magical in nature.
✖ Almost always smirking. Because he's a right bastard.
✖ Currently has demonic blood, which slows his aging and gives him a tiny bit of an immune system/healing boost. If you can sniff out that kind of thing, his entire body was remade by demonic magic, so... he probably sets off a lot of your alarms.
✖ Visually, well, he was designed to look like Sting, although DC mandated that Vertigo move away from that fairly early on. So, his PB is Paul Bettany. Yes, I was SERIOUSLY tempted by Matt Ryan after the show came out, but there's not enough source and I'm too damn lazy to change icons.

☪ Natural blonde, big blue eyes, other characters constantly refer to her as 'cute' and 'pretty.' Has legs that go on for MILES, no lie.
☪ HAIR. LOTS OF HAIR. Minako keeps it tied back with a red bow almost constantly, but even then it reaches her butt. When it's completely down, it's probably to her knees.
☪ Very athletically built. Minako plays volleyball and works out a lot, goes running, and is actually quite good at Judo. Girl be toned.
☪ Height: 5'2"
☪ Her favorite colors are red, pink, orange, and yellow, and usually dresses accordingly. LOVES FASHION.
☪ If you're the type that can 'see' or sense such things, Minako might give off faint vibes of 'not-quite-human.' She is, after all, becoming more and more genetically Venusian the more she spends time as Sailor Venus.

• Telepath lacking anything resembling ethics, who WILL listen on on your narrative if you are readable to her powers. Unless she actually respects you enough not to eavesdrop. And even that's not a guarantee. She's...better? Ish? About it. She tries very hard to have a Moral Compass, she's just not that good at it. At all. (That's Jack's job)
• Ice-blue eyes, tall, slender and willowy, with long blonde hair. Attractive, and knows you know it.
• Is better than you. Knows it. It shows in her body-language and speech.
• Tends to dress in nice/expensive designer clothing, generally in shades of white/gray/silver/blue. While she dresses to emphasize her looks, it is not nearly as skimpy as her older 616-self. Unless she's terrorizing people at the Hellfire Club.
• Has a very faint British accent from spending her formative years with private tutors and such. When she gets annoyed with you, it gets crisper. When she's sleepy, it'll fade into her native upper-class Bostonian.
• Still smokes expensive imports, though she's trying to cut back because when your betrothed is a werewolf, cigarette smoke is a no-no. Still always has a lighter or two on her. Will not share lighter or cigarettes unless you are one of 'her' people.
• When Emma's really pushing her powers hardcore, her eyes tend to turn pure-white and the faintest haze of pink light will flicker around her.
• Has a secondary mutation to transform her body into a flexible organic diamond form. This gives her superhuman strength, stamina, and durability, but cuts off her telepathy and basic human empathy (not that she had much of that in the first place).

♥ Been training with a blade since she was wee and tiny, and is constantly training to be a better assassin. She's this weetiny package of simmering daddy-issues violence, and those that would recognize a fighter could notice. She's very good at killing people, and enjoys it.

🔥 Rather well-endowed for her age. It's noticeable, and she dresses to accentuate it. Yang likes being pretty, and likes it when other people enjoy it too. Works great to have suckers underestimate her because they're too busy looking at her chest to see the punch aimed at their head.

- Always wears The Jacket unless otherwise indicated. These days he tends to wear Jedi tunics underneath, preferably black ones. A little like Anakin Skywalker's old ones but less evil-y. And more leather pants.
- likes wearing long, almost opera-glove-length leather fingerless gloves, because why not.
- Brown hair, brown eyes that can gain a gleam of gold every now and again. He's basically Tall, Dark and Handsome. Well, average height, dark and handsome.
- Will come off as a creep to newcomers, probably. He spent a long time surviving by convincing people he wasn't interested in more than their credits or their boobs, and he still does that - instinctively - around strangers. He also tends to go for bumbling and ranting a lot, even around friends.
- ... which is because he used to be a Sith assassin whose expertise laid in subterfuge and resisting mind control. When your enemy can read your mind, you learn to change your thoughts.
- 100% telepathy proof. Actually, at this point, 200%, since developing his Force abilities means that his telepathy proofing has also gotten an enormous boost. You'll just pick up him thinking about inane stuff, counting cards in his head, or staring at your/someone else's boobs.
- Was trained in the Echani fighting style, originally, and apparently that becomes obvious when he fights hand-to-hand. Don't ask me how, the only defining trait I know of of the Echani is 'train in their underwear'.
- He's a Jedi Sentinel, an ancient school of Jedi-ism that seeks a balance between the use of Force powers, practical skills like hacking and brute force. (Quoth Wookieepedia: "while a Guardian might bash down a locked door and a Consular might simply knock, a Sentinel would instead use equipment available or ingenuity to pick the lock.") Atton's not his Jedi Order's best fighter - that honor goes to Brianna - but Brianna's retired from fighting and he's a solid second.
- Yeah, he can use Force lightning without penalty. Welcome to the Old Republic, y'all.
- Carries two yellow lightsabers at most times. He prefers the 'acrobatics and whirling blades' school of Jedi fighting.
- Tends to slouch and generally give off Manly Scoundrel vibes. Some portion of it's an act. Much of it is internalized by now.
