Work has been extremely slow this last week and I need something to do, so, meme! Looks like we haven't done this since June of last year. Also I listened to a podcast yesterday where they tried to sort Star Wars characters into houses and they were very wrong and I got angry.

For those of you not familiar with Harry Potter, there are four houses into which the students are sorted based on certain defining traits:

Gryffindor - daring, courage and chivalry
Hufflepuff - hard workers, loyalty, fairness
Ravenclaw - wit, learning, and wisdom
Slytherin - cunning, resourcefulness and ambition

A couple points for clarification because I've seen a lot of sorting stuff over the years:
All hero types are not necessarily Gryffindors.
All jerks/bad guys are not necessarily Slytherins, nor are all Slytherins necessarily jerks/bad guys.
Hufflepuff is not where you stick someone just because you can't think of anything else.
People can totally fit into more than one house.

All you have to do is ping your characters in, and people can chime in with which house they think your character belongs in. You can totally comment as to where you think your character should go, too. Feel free to give reasons when sorting people because that's half the fun, just don't be mean or I will totally come over there. And don't forget to check back during the day as more people ping in.

Grrr....ufffle....claw....

Kitty's hard! I think the had would probably waffle around on the three, because she's got courage and loyalty down PAT, before settling on Ravenclaw, though. Look at all the academic pursuits she's EXCELLED AT. Languages, computers, never mind her literal ninja skills and dance training. I think she's best in her element when she's learning and actively bettering herself and those around her, so Ravenclaw would be a good fit.

I'm not sure she's ever been sorted.

Her either but she's new.

You know, in spite of her being one hell of a hero, I'd probably sort Sabine into Slytherin, honestly. Cunning, resourcefulness and ambition? Check checky-check. She's the only one in that entire damn crew who pulls it together in a big way for that finale, and in a decidedly not Griff sort of way, after all.

All in one due to I HAVE SEVEN. And at least one of them is so blatantly Griff I don't know why I included him, but HERE WE ARE.

Bonus points if you can figure out how to stick Zack elsewhere, though.

Some I have to think about, but:

Peridot- Ravenclaw!
Kanan- He's probably not comfortable with being sorted at all but glord is he ever a Gryffindor.
Zack- Him too.
Sparkle- Hufflepuff, though I'm not sure he would agree with that.

Peridot - I'd say she's a bit of a Slytherin.

Kanan - Gryffindor who's been trying to hide he is one.

Sparkle - Such a Hufflepuff. Would he agree, though.

Zack - Gryffindor obviously, but if I'm to include something else I think he has a tiny bit of Hufflepuff too. Not enough outweigh the Gryffindor obviously.

Norman - I'd say Hufflepuff too.

Peridot: the Ravenclaw who even other Ravenclaws look at a little funny
Norman: Hufflepuff's goth friend
Kanan: Gryffindor. Not to be confused with Caleb, who was Hufflepuff
Jono: The world's most exhausted Slytherin
Sparkle: A poor, traumatized Hufflepuff surrounded by Gryffindor friends
Zack: I mean
Reno: . . . I have no idea. I have somehow not actually interacted with him enough to know.

Breq - I'd lean Ravenclaw for Breq, here, if only because she's got 'observing and learning' down to a science, and knows how to apply it all so very much.

Lucille - ... She's the most slythery of Slytherin. There is not even a shadow of doubt, here.

Leto - I'd sort Leto into Slytherin, too, honestly. He's of the school of 'anything in order to reach the endgame,' after all.

... I tried putting the hat on Seivarden's head and it just sat there sputtering before bursting into flames. I'm sure she'd sort herself into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw based on the descriptions of them both, but she's not exactly a paragon of fairness or wisdom. She's given up too hard on everything worth having to slot into Slytherin at this point, and Griffindor? Uuuhhmmmm enjoy your hat on fire I'm sorry. Maybe someone else will have better luck here.

Honestly, I just see Seivarden as the SMUGGEST FUCKING RAVENCLAW IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. She might not be too strong on the wisdom bit, but I genuinely see her interested in learning about other things, even if they might not necessarily fit her idea of culture. I feel we saw that especially last week with the younger, less-bitter, less-jaded Seivarden, easily. She's curious about so much, I feel. Even if she doesn't approve, she still wants to know more about it. She's not a great Ravenclaw, but she's way more Ravenclaw than any of the others (as per Shannon's excellent points above), and, in her own mind, she's the BEST Ravenclaw.

I'd throw everyone but Breq i to Slytherin. She can go to Ravenclaw.

He is the best most explodiest Hufflepuff, dammit. Look how loyal he is to Bunsen in spite of constantly being blown up! That's dedication!

Gotta agree with the above. If someone's sticking through all the explosions, gotta say Hufflepuff!

Slytherin who's pissed because she thinks Ravenclaw looks better on her transcript.

I've seen pretty good arguments for him in everything but Ravenclaw.

I think he's a Slytherin who was pissed he didn't end up in Gryffindor.

Summer - She's really hard! I'd say she has a bit of Gryffindor though.

Sidon - Gryffindor!

Amaya - Hufflepuff.

Rosa - She's hard too because she's hiding so much about herself. I do think she has a Hufflepuff side deep deep down, but she'd threaten to kill me if I said so.

I don't know Astrid well enough yet.

Summer: I'mma stand by my previous "Hufflepuff, but aggressively" statement
Sidon: I kinda wanna say he straddles Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Like, he thinks he needs to be more Gryffindor to be a proper leader, but all he really wants to do is make friends and learn things
Amaya: Hufflepuff with a side of slytherin? Or possibly the other way around. She's definitely motivated by ambition, it's just a pretty low-key sort of ambition. She wants to have her forge, not rule the world.
Rosa: the hat refuses to tell, and every single detail revealed about her to the school just confuses the issue more. "I mean, I was going to say gryffindor, what with all the weapons and the cop thing, but did you hear she went to medical school?"
Astrid: no one knows because her mother was insisting "Ravenclaw" so hard she drowned out the hat.

You have a lot of characters that are making me question them a few times.

Summer- I started making a couple different arguments and then just went "Hufflepuff." So, Hufflepuff.
Sidon- I want to throw this boy in Gryffindor.
Rosa- The sorting hat got nervous when she glared at it and clammed up.
Astrid- Too early to tell until she figures out how she's going to go on her own.

I was starting to overthink Hera and then I remembered everything surrounding the "sorry about the house" moment, girl is a Gryffindor.

Ada- I feel like she's the sweetest Hufflepuff.
Emma- The Slytheriniest.

Ghani is that Ravenclaw from Salior J's 'How to be a Ravenclaw' video who flat-out says "Gryffindor had to have something going for it I guess?" and "The only difference between us and Slytherin is that when we kill people we don't get caught and therefore have no reputation for doing so." Because lbr, she's easily killed as many people as Leto, but HE'S the one with the reputation...

Cristina- Given her science brain, Ravenclaw.
Tip- Super strikes me as Gryffindor.
Eliot- Gryffindor with some Slytherin tendencies maybe?
Raven- Slytherin.

Cristina definitely has a whole pile of ravenclaw in her, no doubt. But that's not actually what I'd ultimately go with for her. . . .

I don't know Harry Potter aside from the movies so this should be interesting?

I see this boy as a Hufflepuff who could be a Gryffindor if he could work out his potential.

Kaidan is so clearly Hufflepuff it's scary.

...I mean. This is kind of obvious.
