Meme: Domesticity
I've had a very busy week, so I want a meme and the haven't done this one in over a year.
Ping your character in and people will offer up a pairing with that character, which is used to answer the meme questions. Feel free to answer with single words, though explanations and examples are always fun. Then other people can chime in with how they see that pairing work. Any pairing goes: friends, NPCs, canon love, canon hate, canon indifference, roommates/housemates, and if-Hell-froze-over-and-these-two-characters-got-together, go crazy! Don't forget to check back in throughout the day and see who else has pinged in!
For example:
Who uses all the hot water in the morning? Warren. He's got a LOT more to wash than Karla and when she is in the mood to spend a long time in the tub, she takes a bath with a glass of wine and a book. Also, Warren is the one who leaves the bathroom a wreck because soggy wings leave water everywhere.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon?:
What is their favorite non-sexual activity?:
Who uses all the hot water in the morning?:
What they order from take out?:
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?:
Who does most of the cleaning?:
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?:
Who steals the blankets?:
What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure?
Who kissed who first?
What would they do if the other one was hurt?
What do they get each other for gifts?
Who is more likely to pay for dinner?
How do they celebrate anniversaries?
What do they name their pet(s)?
On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank?
But because these things always change and evolve, now there's a whole new set of questions we can ask for details about! Behold Domesticity Meme Part 2!
Who cooks normally?
How often do they fight?
What do they do when they're away from each other?
Nicknames for each other?
What do they get each other for gifts?
Who flirts more?
Do they act different in public and at home?
What are little gestures they do for each other?
Who kills the spiders?
Who is "the dominant one" (for however you want to define that)?
Who is the cuddler?
What annoying habit does one have that the other hates?
What do they do to make the other one jealous?
What do they do that embarrasses the other one?
What did they nearly break up over?
What is "their song"?
How do they handle holidays

Re: Norman/Vette/Sparkle/Jono/Kanan/Fjord/Zack/Reno/Peridot
What is their favorite non-sexual activity?: They make comics together. Norman and Tip enjoy babbling about what might happen in the comic, and then she draws them out.
Who uses all the hot water in the morning?:Tip gets hot water dibs, especially on cold mornings. What they order from take out?: Whatever they're feeling like at the time, mostly. Some days you just want to call a place and order delivery for two buckets of ice cream, they're adults, nobody gets to tell them what to do.
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?: Something completely mundane, like where to go for their next vacation, or which way the toilet paper roll faces, or whether or not it's actually still funny the umpteenth time Norman makes the same 'how's it hanging' joke to the ghost of the woman tangled in a parachute in a tree when they pass by every single morning.
Who does most of the cleaning?: Tip trains Norman to keep up well on his half of the chores, and he takes to it pretty easily, not wanting to leave more work to her than necessary. She pretty much had to take care of her mother when she was a kid, he's not going to make her take care of him, too.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?: They take turns on this one, usually after taking turns trying to fix the heat in the first place.
Who steals the blankets?: Tip totally does. Norman's used to the cold, Tip haaaates it.
What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure? They found a movie that is about alien zombies. They have seen it a million times and they still delight in watching it and throwing in their two cents about how this detail or that one is totally wrong.
Who kissed who first? It was an awkward first kiss that sort of involved both of them talking back and forth about how it was okay to not want sex but still want to be close to someone, and there might have been a rant about how kissing didn't have to be inherently sexual, dammit, and then maybe someone had to prove a point, honest, and it wasn't just because they've been crushing on one another since forever and needed to get that one out of their system, honest.
What would they do if the other one was hurt? They're both pretty cool heads in a crisis. Tip makes sure the place is safe a-la her sword, Norman asks any nearby ghosts to keep an eye out so he can do first-aid.
What do they get each other for gifts? Nothing terribly big or elaborate, really. They're both happy with cute little 'I'm thinking of you' type gifts. Flowers at Valentine's. Cookies just because. Books - Norman puts a lot of thought into coming up with books by women of colour or books with badass female protagonists, for example.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? They take turns!
How do they celebrate anniversaries? Dinner somewhere not too too fancy, and then they'll either do something new and adventurous or stay in and watch movies, depending on how the mood strikes them.
What do they name their pet(s)? Tip already has Bill!
On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank? They can be pretty darn adorable in public, but typically they're fairly tolerable overall.
