Summer Travels Week 4: "Bi" Week!
(Yes, I know it's 'bye' but it's also PRIDE, so I stand by a quality pun.)
ANYWAY! After a week like the last one, it's about time for a nice little break, wouldn't you say? Next week, the island will be leaving god's gift to Geiger Counters and heading...home?
It'll certainly look like home, if perhaps a little more festive than usual. Everyone's house will be the way they left it. No rising waters, no desert wastelands, giant sauropods crashing through the forest. Everybody will be the person they were the day the island left.
Oh, and animals can talk. Not just Aeslin mice and drunken squirrels. All of them. And they all want to be helpful. You ever wanted to be a Disney princess, with birds running combs through your hair and rabbits washing dishes? Ever wanted to trade philosophies with the teal deer? Well this week...YOU CAN.
Of course, they're still animals, so like, good luck not getting crapped on by the birds and your dishes have fur over them now, but such is life on the island.
This is the first of four rest weeks, so again, if you have plots you wanna run with a minimum of outside interference, or NPCs to have visit or whatever, this is a really good time to do it! Otherwise, just enjoy the dulcet tones of crows heckling passersby or what have you.
There will also be fireworks each night of the week. There won't be a specific post for them (unless someone wants to make one!) but any night, people can look out the window just as it gets dark for an impressive show of fireworks in seven of the Pride flag colors.
Monday: Lesbian flag, seven different shades of pink, white, and red will burst overhead.
Tuesday: Trans flag, shades of pink, blue, and white exploding in the sky.
Wednesday: Bisexual flag, so look up to see pink, blue, and purple fireworks. Also, whether they're exploding or still in rocket form, they're still always fireworks.
Thursday: Asexuality flag, with purple, white, gray, and black fireworks glittering in the night. How do black fireworks work? MAGIC. THAT'S HOW.
Friday: Pansexuality flag, with gorgeous showers of pink, yellow, and blue rounding out our three days of very visible celebration.
Saturday: Non-binary flag, serving us yellow, white, purple and black firework realness.
Sunday: POC-inclusive pride flag Our grand finale, giving us all colors of the rainbow, including black and brown fireworks because Pride is for the entire community.
Dates: June 3 - June 9
State of the Causeway: On! It brings you to a Baltimore and from Baltimore, the rest of modern day, 2019 America. The only difference between this world and our own is the talking animals, of course!
Err, meat is a little hard to find. For obvious reasons. Available! Just a little, err...scarce.
