Meme: Domesticity
It's been just about a year since we've done this one. It's Sunday. Everything here is wet and cold outside. I'm lazy and bored and request entertainment!
Ping your character in and people will offer up a pairing with that character, which is used to answer the meme questions. Feel free to answer with single words, though explanations and examples are always fun. Then other people can chime in with how they see that pairing work. Any pairing goes: friends, NPCs, canon love, canon hate, canon indifference, roommates/housemates, and if-Hell-froze-over-and-these-two-characters-got-together, go crazy! Don't forget to check back in throughout the day and see who else has pinged in!
For example:
Who uses all the hot water in the morning? Warren. He's got a LOT more to wash than Karla and when she is in the mood to spend a long time in the tub, she takes a bath with a glass of wine and a book. Also, Warren is the one who leaves the bathroom a wreck because soggy wings leave water everywhere.
For great mobile justice, please copypasta the questions and your answers.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon?:
What is their favorite non-sexual activity?:
Who uses all the hot water in the morning?:
What they order from take out?:
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?:
Who does most of the cleaning?:
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?:
Who steals the blankets?:
What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure?
Who kissed who first?
What would they do if the other one was hurt?
What do they get each other for gifts?
Who is more likely to pay for dinner?
How do they celebrate anniversaries?
What do they name their pet(s)?
On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank?
But because these things always change and evolve, now there's a whole new set of questions we can ask for details about! Behold Domesticity Meme Part 2!
Who cooks normally?
How often do they fight?
What do they do when they're away from each other?
Nicknames for each other?
Who flirts more?
Do they act different in public and at home?
What are little gestures they do for each other?
Who kills the spiders?
Who is "the dominant one" (for however you want to define that)?
Who is the cuddler?
What annoying habit does one have that the other hates?
What do they do to make the other one jealous?
What do they do that embarrasses the other one?
What did they nearly break up over?
What is "their song"?

Re: Hernando / Jack / Delirium
I want your take on Jack/Duke.
Jack/Duke and you ARE A DICK
What is their favorite non-sexual activity?: Duke made the mistake of teaching her to free dive. He has regrets.
Who uses all the hot water in the morning?: Duke tries. Jack just walks into his shower and joins him. Duke has, to date, never tried to kick her out.
What they order from take out?: Jack likes pizza. Duke insists she try new foods every so often. He also insists that take-out Chinese is not food.
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?: The things that Jack will just cheerfully eat. Like take-out Chinese.
Who does most of the cleaning?: Whose place is it? If Duke's then him. If Jack's, then her.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?: Duke would fix it on his boat. He would complain, a lot, if she called the landlord to fix hers because he's pretty darn handy and would like her to call him.
Who steals the blankets?: Jack. Duke just buys more blankets. Which she steals.
What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure?: Jack doesn't do guilt. Duke would rather not admit to most of the things he's cheerfully watched because it meant he could sit cuddled up against her side on the couch.
Who kissed who first?: Duke. After verbally asking permission so he didn't startle her with contact he knew she wouldn't be expecting.
What would they do if the other one was hurt?: Someone's havin' a real bad day. Duke isn't a murderer but he will absolutely shoot someone right in the face if they hurt someone he cares about. Jack is a murderer and won't bother waiting until the hurt has happened, she'll kill someone for so much as looking like they were going to try. Someone pulls a weapon on Duke, that person's dead within a heartbeat.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner?: It's become a thing Duke does to see if he can get away with stealing the check and paying. Otherwise they take turns.
How do they celebrate anniversaries?: Privately. Food, booze, each other.
What do they name their pet(s)?: Duke would like to have a 'no more pets' rule but he's given up on the number of things Jack hauls home. Jack names them whatever sounds best to her at the time.
On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank?: Nobody knows they're dating - unless they catch the suddenly sharp and watchful look both of them get when someone else tries to touch their partner.
Who cooks normally?: Duke. Oh god. Duke.
How often do they fight?: They bicker constantly. They very rarely have true fights. Duke's too aware that Jack's.. very broken, and Jack's too aware that Duke has feelings she could really hurt.
What do they do when they're away from each other?: Duke sends pretty pictures of things. Jack sends the dumbest emojis she can find back to him. Occasionally she will send him pictures of exceptionally pretty people.
Nicknames for each other?: Duke probably tried. Duke was not prepared for the onslaught of stupid nicknames Jack would land on him sarcastically and he eventually agreed to not do that again if she'd just stop calling him things like 'Muffinbutt' in public.
What do they get each other for gifts?: Jack gets weapons. Duke gets either practical things or some meticulously picked out piece of interior decorating stuff/artwork that would look good inside the boat.
Who flirts more?: Duke. Jack finds it endlessly entertaining when he flirts with other people. Meanwhile, if Jack ever flirts with someone, Duke is instantly on his guard and kind of making his way over to her to find out what happened because the only time Jack obviously flirts is when she has weaponized it.
Do they act different in public and at home?: Yes. Jack allows all the cuddling Duke needs when they're at home.
What are little gestures they do for each other?: Duke makes sure there is actual food in the fridge, even at Jack's place. Jack makes sure he's topped up on ammunition because she found all his hiding spots long ago and just kind of goes through them sometimes and cleans all the weapons and makes sure the ammunition is fresh.
Who kills the spiders?: They don't kill spiders. Occasionally spiders get evicted.
Who is "the dominant one" (for however you want to define that)?: Jack. Duke is occasionally really into feeling taken care of.
Who is the cuddler?: Duke.
What annoying habit does one have that the other hates?: Jack insists she's failing at being a person and that she'll ever change. Duke keeps waiting for Jack to abandon him like everyone else has and occasionally uses language to that effect.
What do they do to make the other one jealous?: Jack gets annoyed when he does a run and doesn't take backup. Duke gets jealous of how easily Jack will reach out and touch her friends or people she trusts. She touches him the same way and just as easily - he just wants there to be the same but different going on.
What do they do that embarrasses the other one?: Duke gets embarrassed when they go out for really good sushi and the first thing Jack does is ask for extra wasabi, leaving him bright red and muttering apologies in Japanese right into his hand. Jack doesn't get embarrassed by anything.
What did they nearly break up over?: Duke insisting that everyone always leaves and so of course Jack will eventually and he won't blame her for it. Jack insisting he deserves someone better and less broken.
What is "their song"?: Jack insists they don't have a song. Duke picks random songs and insists that's "their song" and either gets deliberately gooey or tries to get her to stand up and dance to it.
How do they handle holidays?: They don't, really. Jack never understands them, Duke has some bad memories, they would rather just do nice things for one another because they wanted to do a nice thing, or spend time celebrating something that matters.
