Yes again. I basically am stuck on the couch and my focus is terrible so I would like to ask and answer questions in a meme we last did in October, which feels like six months ago.

Tag in with your characters and then people will comment asking the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR CHARACTERS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this character?", "How do you channel them?", etc).

What are your favorite types of interactions to play?

Scenes that might meander a bit, starting with banter or something similar, that somehow along the way dip into some unexplored or unknown truth about my character, or the other person's character, or both. I just really like the rhythm of deep character stuff like that.

... also right now, anything that involves cuddling, for RL reasons.

I actually am going to attempt the store, I do not have high hopes.

What are some of your favorite types of storylines or relationship dynamics to throw your characters into?

I love relationships that will bring something new out of my characters, which can manifest in a lot of different ways. Sometimes it's characters that don't work together on paper but are fantastic in play (Aeryn and Rory, Sia and Jessica, I wouldn't have thought Sabine would end up crushing on a Sith but hey...), or things like Duke getting Rey to try new things because that's something that wouldn't happen in canon, or any and all teacher/student dynamics I've been able to get into. I like getting characters out of their comfort zones and pushing forward a little.

Also more specifically, I think maybe antagonistic relationships with Anakin Skywalker. Between semi-recently rereading months of Aeryn and Vader, and anytime I look back on where he and Jaina have come from, that's been some of my favorite stuff ever.

OH MY GOD I LOVE HER SO MUCH and I'm using this account because I paid to up her icons for like four days of play and dammit I'm using them.

I've been looking for a student for like a year who's more fun, who'd have stupid adventures and take over the kissing booth and all that, but no one was really clicking. And I somehow managed to get through a few episodes of Schitt's Creek without glomming onto her, until she randomly dropped into conversation how easy it is to get out of zip ties because this girl has vast canon experience at being kidnapped and then I had to. She's someone who can roll with the hard stuff while also being a real person who I can be cracky with, which is exactly what I was looking for.

And while I really really wish I'd been able to get her app together for this semester (I so want her in Sex Ed after everything), the BDE actually provided a perfect opportunity for a summer entrance that actually fits with her canon. I love it so much.

I make no guarantees as to my mental capacity to respond to things today, but.

Is Beau or Keyleth easier for you, and why?

Safe to say Beau is definitely easier for me these days, though I’m not sure how much of that is because as much time as I’ve spent working on this canon stuff for her (seriously I’ve been writing this all up for months and months) it’s kind of hard to not be on that wavelength.

Part of it is definitely that I’ve pretty much failed at doing much of anything for a couple of months now anyway and Kiki’s relationships are suffering for it, but see above re: plot stuff eating my entire head. I want to upgrade my cranial CPU please.

Are there any characters you'd like yours to interact with more?

What's your favorite thing about Liam/Verity?

I mean, is it cheating to say "all of it"?

But, okay, I like how GOOD they are for each other. She reminds Liam that it's important to have fun and not be so serious all the time, and although she's no longer dealing with struggling to choose between two careers the way she was this time last year, no matter what path she takes he's gonna be by her side.

Mmmm, moRE distractions from the work I do not want to deal with, yessssss.

How are you feeling about Summer and Astrid being back, and do you have any plans for them yet?

Ugghhhhhh, I looooove having Summer and Astrid back! Even if some of my other characters are a little tiffed because they're getting most of my attention right now. But I missed them so, so much, and it just feels good to have them back. Especially Summer, because it feels like an unexpected treat,but Astrid feels like such a payoff because I've been planning her return for a while now.

No big plans except just them existing and me enjoying them, though! I need to figure out where I want to slip in the next part of Astrod's canon that I'd like to use,but we probably have a while before that gets brought in.

I mean, sure, I could be working.

On the other hand, it's Friday afternoon...

What about a character makes you want to play them?

Oh man, this is actually hard for me to answer. IDEK. I guess part of it is I've got to admire some aspect of the character. If I hold them primarily in contempt then no matter how interesting they are, I'm never going to be able to play them.

I'm also, in general, a very slow person, when it comes to fandoms. I don't really fandom hop, but rather fandom entrench, so if I'm apping it's usually someone from a canon I know really, really well. I've never been able to just watch a movie and go 'heck yeah, I've got to app so-and-so'. I've impulse apped before (Karina's app was started six hours before the app deadline) but I'd seen her canon and played in the fandom for more than a year before I even thought of apping her.

MOMO didn't do much in the BDE, due to RL things, but I've been planning to app her since 2007. It'll happen one day. My other potential students, likewise, are from series I've been into for at least a few years now.

IDEK if this really answers the question. 'A toss-up between admiration and length of time spent in the fandom' seems like a pretty weird criteria for apping, but that's… generally how I seem to roll.

What's your favorite thing about your current crop of characters? Either as a group, or what do you love about them individually, your choice.

Mae and Duke are ruling my brain right now, and what's truly amazing about them so far is that I can play them being obnoxious at people. Like. Holy crap! I don't know if it's more them or more me figuring out some of my own shit, but I've only sometimes felt the need to go apologize profusely for them being idiotic or deliberately annoying.

Duke probably still isn't quite enough of a jackass to match with where his character would be pre-canon, but eh. He pisses people (or, you know, Rosa) off on purpose without me wanting to go hide.

And also: Duke's broken self-image and Mae's disaster energy. Tip's got her shit too together these days. She's boring now. . . .
