fandomhigh_ooc | Dimension Hopping Gremlins Shenanigans

Due to some dimensional shenanigans, next week we will be seeing heightened gremlin activity. Not only will this be happening on the island but because there will be a slight rip in the space time continuum it will also mean that alumni and expatriates get to join in on the fun.

Starting the evening of Monday, September 28th - Friday evening, October 2nd, gremlins will be popping through quickly opening and closing portals. In addition they will be aggravated as the cells in their bodies aren't getting along with the rest of the universe as they will be "glitching".

So how is this happening?
A gremlin will be getting off the island and causing a bit of trouble as a result. Not to spoil you all too much but it involves Miles and part of his canon.

And how does this affect the gremlins?
Gremlins will now be popping up in other dimensions to annoy our fellow alumni and expatriates as well as island inhabitants. And instead of just climbing through the HVAC they will just pop out a tiny portal. Also they will be a little grouchier than normal so they might be more willing to bite.

Otherwise the gremlins will be just as they normally are. They can bite you and make your characters do wacky things.

And how do we stop this?
The dimension hopping gremlins will stop hopping after Friday October 2nd.

Do we get to do anything about that?
Sort of! There will be a post on Friday where you can participate. Due to the incident which caused the gremlins to transport to other dimensions; Miles' Brooklyn will be dimensionally unstable and need some help from the people of Fandom. Also there will be gremlins running around Brooklyn so there may need to be some crowd and creature control.

How tiny are these tiny portals?

Asking for a friend. . . .

Gremlin sized. How big is a gremlin? I have no idea.

Okay. But . . . supposedly . . . should a character be approximately gremlin-sized herself. . . . . . . . . .

I do not recommend that any character who is approximately gremlin-sized go through a portal that the gremlin comes through.

As noted above the portals the gremlins are getting thrown through are not great and makes them "glitchy". Anyone going through the portal will have issues as the atoms in their body are not going to get along with the environment they show up in. In Spider-Verse canon if this goes on long enough the affected character would most likely die after a few days.

I would highly recommend the use of Portalocity for any dimensional travel.
