I watched season 1, thought it was totally fine (but had an amazing soundtrack), and then slept on season 2 until multiple people insisted I needed to watch it.

Everyone was right.

I've seen the 2001 movie (and in fact own a VHS copy that's... around here somewhere) and random episodes, as well as read a volume of the manga, all while in high school.

So I basically have closer to twenty years of well-meaning 'I should maybe watch more of this' under my belt, with zero follow-through.

I managed to watch five episodes before it left Netflix at the beginning of September.

And admittedly I haven't watched before now because I wasn't a huge fan of the first book and/or Quentin in general. But I like the show more so I'll probably track it down to continue!

It's a love story. Lots of them. With Muppets and lots of leather and a Looney Tunes inspired episode that makes perfect sense in context.

I have a real soft spot for creatures and weird aliens. Babu Frik and the Caretakers are the best parts of the sequel trilogy, fact. I also really like that frog lady on The Mandalorian. #justiceforfroglady, #babyyodaisamenace

But true story, I'm a TNG fan who thinks that The Orville does Star Trek better than Discovery or Picard. Or, at least, it does it in the flavor of Trek that I like best.

I LOVED this show up through season three, at which point I either got too busy or they did something weird with the timing, so I'm spoiled for everything after but haven't seen it.
