Aeryn, Cameron Mitchell, I'd like your help, please? If not, we'll probably still do it, but it might be a lot harder.

And if you're none of the above, don't look.

Okay, here's the plan:

We're going to kidnap John in the middle of the night and swap him with Cameron. Then
get everyone to call him Cameron for the day. That is, if Cameron's amenable to being either an active participant or an unintendent casualty of the prankage.

Accompanied by some kind of fireworks or shiny pyrotechics when he wakes up, or right before he goes to sleep, I think we can sell this.

Rogue, I was thinking you could skim Crichton's memories earlier on Friday-- not so much he passes out-- just enough that you could give info to Cam on being "Crichton", and make it all more believable.

Meanwhile, everyone is calling John "Cameron", and is deeply concerned about him. We could be trying to keep him from "wandering off", or trying various methods to "help him get his memory back."

Ancient memory devices? Magic? Hits to the head? Drugs? Hypnosis? Whatever your little heart and evil mind desires.

Any other suggestions? And who wants to be part of the kidnap team?

ETA: This whole kidnap idea is havocthecat's, that is to say, Janet & Drusilla's mun. *dopeslaps self*


ETA: Tasks so far, as outlined:

Cam is now an innocent victim as well. With Beka claiming that they had sex, and Cam is thus "obviously" not a virgin and everyone else going along with that -- as well as the John-is-Cam, Cam-is-John thing-- both of them will be freaked out.

Cam's mun doesn't want him 'zatted, 'cause it hurts so Janet or Sam or Elizabeth, if you want to use the 'zats, can a 'zat be modified so it's much less painful, but still knocks you out?

Callisto has obtained some drugs from The Old Shop. Vala, if you'll obtain some other drug (on Janet's recommendation) from the clinic, we can keep re-drugging the guys and moving them around like Gumby when they get suspicious.

Zero volunteered lockpicking skills, but we do have two rooms to deal with now, so if there's another lockpicker who wants in, that would be good.

Gaeta (as Cam's roommate) needs to be distracted, 'zatted, or out of the way, and so does John's roommate. (Who *is* his roommate, is it Lee? I'm losing track here.)

Rogue, I still think lifting a few memories from John would be good, just to give people something to mess with his head about-- "you *told* me this John" -- and if you want to grab some from Cam too, that might help. However, as he's not the real target of this prank, that can be avoided if it's too much trouble.

Boomer, Starbuck, Aeryn--- you guys are probably gonna be kidnap team 1 or 2 for our boys. How many of you do you think it takes to move a really cute-but-heavy body? And if it takes 3 or so people to move a guy, who else wants to move the secondary victim?

Veronica, Rory, Joan, Angela-- how'd you like to be on distract-the-roomies duty (Gaeta, and John's roomie, I can't remember who)? Or lookout duty? Is there anything else you can think of that your character would want to do?

Beka & Aeryn are going to be messing with the boys even more than everyone else, but everyone of course is in on the "You're the other guy" part of it.

Did I miss anything or anyone? (If I did, just speak up! Everyone gets to play)

A lot of this shouldn't be over-directed, and a lot can be back-dated, just re-directed to the posts that are already up.

We don't have any magic-users in this lot, do we? Pity. That would make it easier.

ETA3: Who wants to talk Drusilla into hypnotizing the guys off and on this weekend? Maybe just have her do it on Saturday, so they end up in *another* place they didn't expect? (Dru's mun is good with this, but Dru won't think of helping on her own. Parker will do this if no one else wants the job.)

And with that, MP's mun goes off to work.

Operation Manchurian Candidate is set for Friday, any time everyone's available. We can slow-play it to draw it out. Let me know if that's a problem, and we'll re-schedule.

That might work, although he's currently hiding from her. I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to pull the prank on the two of them as Cam is really starting to get close friends with John so er his loyalties might get screwed up.

Yeah, BTW, Cam's SGC and so is Janet. But I'm presuming we don't know each other since Cam entered SGC canon in late 7th season via flashback. Or is Cam actually a real teenager? We have so few of those amongst the SGC crowd.

No, he kinda has a great dislike for Callisto and tends to talk back at her.

Cam is a complete teenager which is why he is so totally hopeless around Beka. He doesn't have a clue about the SGC or anything Stargate related. It's been fun to play, but sadly enough it puts him a bit outside of the rest of teh SG cast as everyone there seems to be an adult. That and I realised that no one is playing a S9 alternative so I didn't see much point in doing the mini version.

Well, Janet is just clueless about season nine, having spent the majority of seasons seven and eight offplanet, and then at the start of season nine, Mackenzie shipped her off to Fandom High.

But if you wanted to be mini!Cam, you could always have the zat blast knock loose your adult memories. Or we could accidentally toss you in locker 327 and you could have mysterious adventures and, yeah, knock loose your adult memories. Or something totally out there like that.

Or you could keep being a teenager. Because Cam as a teenager's a great deal of fun too! :)

Hmm. How convincing would it be to have Cam not in on it, but maybe have Beka convince him halfway to go along with it? He therefore has plausible deniability later ("hey pal, I'm as much a victim as you") but maybe gets 'zatted less by Sunday, and is amused more than victimized? And it would *really* mess with John if Cam started saying he was John later in the proceedings...?

If not, we can just keep whacking Cam over the head too. < g >

How's this work: We Manchurian Candidate *both* of them, with Cam as a side effect of the John plot.

Part of this could include Beka claiming she and "Cam" got together, utterly confusing for both guys, with everyone claiming "John" is a virgin and "Cam" completely isn't.

I pity Cam, but I'm sure Beka could make it up to him. :> Does that make *any* kind of sense, or are we getting too convoluted?

Okay, I'm going to make all replies to thread on this post here because it's getting confusing.

I totally love the idea of Beka claiming that and having both of them freak out. I'm definitely in favour of having Cam just be the victim here. The idea of zatting him seems a bit too far though as it is painful and I'd prefer to keep this fun. (He's already angsty and confused enough.)

Yes, I think so. :> Since you, as Cam's mun, are in on this in the sense that you can keep him totally confused, I think we can make it work with Crichton denying everything.

We can ask Janet about re-setting the zat to something lower, otherwise, we'll stick to drugs. For Cam, anyway. John might still be getting 'zatted. < g>

I get that the real-world parallels of drugging or hurting someone make it seem less comic, but if played for comedy, I think we'll keep the physical damage to a minimum.

That definitely sounds better to me. I was thinking that you might want to try get Sparky in on it if he's willing.

Hrm, this is just a thought but why don't you just make sure that with the help of Aeryn, Sparky or Beka, John and Cam get slipped some sleeping pills. Then just switch rooms. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any need for anything more serious?

You don't have to say yes, but it could be even funnier once it's taken off....

As for drugs vs. zats -- the only real reason for the zats is that Carter & the SG ladies want something to do. Actually, they may just use the zats as F/X, but that's the thing. Gotta give everyone something to do. Not fair otherwise.

Get back to me if you're okay with Cam being hypnotized into "John". :>
