ooc: TV-Guide
Okay, working on the TV-Guide for February.
I have WizBits, Hadessong, Shprockets and CFD: Boston as new shows. Anything else y'all want?
Logan - you can use this post for the Daddy Oeuvre if you want.
Angela - was it you that came up with names for the people of Z-Cases?
Also, what new and shiny things have you all brought up IG that I don't know about?
*thinks*
Oh, and the main character of AKA is now Perth Tristow. Because I think it's funny. *cough*
That is all, I think.

If we're going to do Togusa's universe, we could call it "Spirit in the Carapace."

I would say "Several Bits" for One Piece rather then Single Doubloon.
Oh yeah... And don't forget...
KirinCube A (DragonBall Z)
Which pioneered the "one 20 min fight that stretches across five or more episodes as it has to cycle around and get reactions from everybody who's looking on which is usually anywhere from 2 people to the who damn cast on every freaking hit." genre :)
Outuyoshi (Inuyasha) - Where fights can also span across an intire half a season but the commentary is religated to people screaming eachother's names from the sideline. (And sitting.)
... I kid. I kid because I love. :)

I just went with "neko" because it's "cat" and "inu" is dog, but In/Out works, heh. I'm getting so fed up with the writers of Inu Yasha dragging everything out so long that I've given up watching it. Oh, and hello, Kagome? YOU HAVE A BOW AND ARROW. USE THEM. PLEASE.
Personally, I'd really want to see Literacy or Death. Hee!

Oh yeah. That's entertainment.
Yeah, the only Japanese I know is from the sushi bar. I remember when I was playing .hack with subtitles on and I walked up to a golden egg. When it said it's name (which is what eggs do in that game), I went "Tamago? ... That means EGG!!!" I was so damn proud of myself. Nerd.
Maybe Kagome is just really thrifty? I mean, they are in feudal Japan or where ever. It's not like she can just crawl back up a well to modern day any time she wants and buy some arrows from a sporting goods store and oh maybe som DAMN PANTS!
Hussy.
:D

I know almost no Japanese, just single words I've picked up here and there. My friend told me that "inu" means 'dog,' and I know that the little waving cat figurines are called "maneki neko" (lucky cats). I think I know maybe 5 other words and that's it!

"It's this show about these gay guys who live in Michigan," Angel said. "Kinda soapy, but that guy Ryan really speaks to me for some reason." Angel paused, thought about it. "I don't really buy him having a relationship with that underage kid though."
"He didn't *want* to, though; the kid kind of just followed him home like a puppy," Xander said. Then looked up, realizing a) who he'd just voluntarily spoken a civil word to, and b) he'd just admitted to having watched this thing since the first season. "Um, so I hear. From skimming the recaps on Television without Patience."
"Right," Angel said. "The kid's there, constantly in his face, bugging the crap out of him - it'd drive me nuts. Hell, I'd probably move."
Xander nodded. "Without leaving a forwarding address. 'Course he's pretty persistent. I hear."
Callisto considered this. "I've seen similar relationships back home, of course that was in Sparta, and Spartans on the whole tend to be considered nuts."
"It never works," Angel said. "I mean come on! Who falls in love with someone who's barely legal?"
"Did I say anything about love?" Callisto shrugged. "They just have those kind of relationships there. Something about preparing them for 'manly Spartan life'."
"I suppose," Angel said, not looking really convinced. "But consider the season finale last year. The two of them running off to Chicago to live together? Yeah, like that was gonna work out well for either of them."
Then more explanation to Jack Harkness (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/319086.html?thread=11529838#t11529838):
"So, you're the expert on this show, right? If I ever know it, memorywipe has taken care of the details. So who's the hottest couple?"
"Depends on what you're into," Angel said, and if the words had the weight of double meaning that was because they were weighted with double meaning. "Some folks are really into the snuggly, cuddly, married thing that Bill and Matty have going on. Others are more into the so wrong it's right technically illegal relationship of Ryan and Landon. Others are in it for the lesbians but - " Angel shrugged " - eh."
[...]
"Ryan's this hot guy who wears designer clothes all the time, is kind of an asshole but has a good heart, and is way older than he looks," Angel explained. "Landon is this way too cute just legal kid who comes from this family where his bastard of a father totally screwed with his head. They meet up on the streets one night and from them on out they can't keep their hands off each other. Ryan pretends he's not into it but deep down he so is. And Landon just won't take no for an answer."
****
And I think that covers it =)

Ted & Duke (& Dark Helmet) can use the Inertia and fight with their Staffs of Light.
Anakin? Kind of hates all of them. Except for Dark Helmet, who's he's sure has just been misunderstood :)

Last night we watched UHF...
- Wheel of Fish
- Raoul's Wild Kingdom ("Today, we're teaching poodles how to fly. Okay Fifi, are you phyched?")
- Spatula City
I can not for the life of me recall the name of the cooking show with the creepy kinky bondage dude who whipped the chicken he was about to cook to porn music because he was showing his audience how to "tenderise" it... But it they never mentioned that show having a name we need to make one up because that is comedy
Movies:
- Gandhi 2 (First Blood)
- Conan the Librarian
