Sign-up post for Parents Weekend
Hello!
It's time to get your info in for Parents Weekend. The idea of Parents Weekend is to have someone from your canon (parent, guardian, family member, friend, other) show up for the weekend with the intention of looking around the school and checking up on you. It's a good time for plottiness and wackiness and lots of fun.
But in order for such a mammoth occasion to run smoothly, we need to know in advance who is coming, even if your character doesn't know.
So please provide the following information in a comment to this post.
Visitor Name:
Visitor Relationship:
Journal Name: (please have the journal created and the name confirmed before replying here)
Who is playing this character for the weekend?: (name, email address would be good)
You can play the visitor yourself, or a current player can, or even someone who is not related to the game at all can play. This is the one weekend a year that we allow outsiders to join in on the fun for the weekend. Ask around. Ask your friends. Get your non-FH friends sucked in and hooked on the crack.
Visitors will be able to arrive on the Friday evening. They will need to find a place in town to stay (the Arms is a good place for that) and then they are free to mingle. On Saturday and Sunday they will have the opportunity to come onto school grounds, sign in, have full access to the school (except Special Collections) and be able to attend mixers, tours, demonstrations, etc.
Visitors will then need to leave on Sunday night.
Things to note:
* Plottiness still needs to be run by us so we can make sure everything runs smoothly.
* We reserve the right to discuss any problems that might arise with your visitor
* Most teachers will be available that weekend to talk to visitors and discuss the students' progress. If there are certain things you don't want revealed, then please make sure you let your visitor and teacher know well in advance
* You are not required to have someone visit. This is a totally voluntary weekend. There are ways around having people visit. They fell ill. They got lost. There was a paperwork mistake. The causeway wouldn't appear for them. Alien invasion. Arrested by the IRS. Etc.
In order to have your visitor come to Fandom, you will need to respond to this post by Thursday, October 19th. If you do not submit your visitor by then, they cannot come and you will have to miss out, so be sure to get in ASAP!
All comments to this post will be screened to avoid spoiling any plot surprises. :D
