A few things, all good

Hey everyone. We just have a few quick things for you lovely people if you would be so kind to read.

*Next Saturday, October 28, we will be holding an open forum. We'll have some stuff to talk about and if you have stuff to talk about with us, we'll be happy to talk. About stuff.

*Now that we've had some new people around these parts for a while, we thought it would be a good idea to blatantly steal from the kind of OOC posts that went nigh-unchecked early last year and do a little bit of a getting to know you in the comments. A lot of us know each other OOCly to at least some degree but it's always nice to reach out and connect in a place where we can all mock you for liking Team Knight Rider or something. This is completely voluntary and hopefully a good way to bond OOCly. Also, it never hurts to get a new headcount on how many guys there are in the game. Right, men?

*On one final note, we wanted to take a moment and remind everyone that we, the admins, are addicts. Often friendly addicts, at least when caffeinated. We're on AIM and check our e-mail constantly, so if you ever have any issues - be they trying to pound a plot proposal into shape, or checking on when would be a good week to do something in game, or if you just want to check and see if the doctors have really let us out of the nuthouse - which I recognize may be questionable in my case after reading some of my posts, including this one - we're happy to talk.

Thank you for your time, now let's play ball! Or something.

Name: Elaine
Characters played: Teddy Altman
AIM: bestshedevil
Are you a guy? I am lacking in the Y chromosome

Are you playing any parents this weekend? Nope.

Are you a fan of any obscure fandoms not represented in game? Assorted anime and comics. Listing them all would be scary.

Want to share any of the characters you'd like to play in the future? Deadpool, oh my god, Deadpool. He'd be the worstBEST teacher ever. (But Civil War is making me all sad with him) Lucifer would be fun to play, but only for that sense of "Ha, I know everything and already planned ahead for whatever minor inconvenience you will be." Impulse if I wanted to be a another student, because he's cuter than a sack full of kittens and puppies.

Anything else to share? Um, I'm a culinary arts student and I'm allergic to chocolate

allergic to chocolate

*gapes*

That has to be the *worst* allergy I've ever heard of.

I'm sure there are worse. Like corn. Or air. I could be allergic to air.

Nah, I'm pretty sure chocolate is worse... :D

The guy in my office who's allergic to corn insists corn syrup as an ingredient doesn't count, and neither do Doritos or popcorn if he eats less than a handful.

He's kind of dumb. But not dead yet, so.

Deadpool is filled with the awesome. I was surprised no one had played him before.

RY$#%Y %$YU$W UU^%$WU .

DEADPOOL. YES.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2006-10-19 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee.

Now I hope that I won't screw him up horribly if I do get him.

Impulse! *squees* And OMG Deadpool! Would he narrate out loud?

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2006-10-19 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I have very recently fallen in love with the little speedster, mostly due to him being the new Flash.

I'm really not sure how the narration would go. That and what he'd teach is what's giving me trouble. (All I've got is: Stabbing People for Fun and Profit 101, and I doubt that's a class that'll go over well.)

HAHAHA, you never know! *points to class on spying that includes the assumption that laws are less than important and getting caught is the worst possible thing*

Really?

...this makes me far too happy.

You never know. Crack always has an outside chance. :)

I'm a culinary arts student and I'm allergic to chocolate

I know you probably hear this annoyingly often, but I think that's the saddest thing I've ever heard.

(I have a cousin who's allergic to chocolate, and when we were kids he'd be like, "EFF IT, I'LL HAVE HIVES" and demand a chocolate birthday cake.)

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2006-10-19 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Thankfully I lived up through high school being able to eat chocolate before my body decided to say: "Hey, you know that chocolate stuff you enjoy so much? NO MORE CHOCOLATE."

My body is very much like the Scarlett Witch.

Random information: I'd heard about Young Avengers but had never read it up until I saw your application in my inbox. Then I went and read the series up to date. Thank you for the nudge. It's now one of my favourites!

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome!

(Although I apologize for getting people to read it, only for the series to go on hiatus while the writer does Wonder Woman.)

I knoooow. *wails* I want more.
