A wee BDE announcement for you sensitive types, and some random entertainment
Hey guys!
We just wanted to make a quick little announcement that might be important for a chunk of our populace. With the Mad Scientist in town and the BDE kicking off, if you have a character that is capable of picking up on a proverbial 'bad feeling,' please feel free to do so! Please don't have them figure out anything specific, of course, but having them get a case of the psychic willies is totally fine!
Now, for your amusement because I was poking at spreadsheets in order to help tempt a potential newbie, we have (counting alumni and expats):
66 players from
10 countries
145 fandoms
(that's on the cautious side as I counted all Marvel as one fandom and all DC as another)
282 characters
85 alumni/expats
51 townies
27 teachers
40 seniors
48 juniors
25 sophomores
6 freshmen
58 book characters
24 comic characters
17 animated characters of which
10 are anime (though I may have lumped a manga in here as anime in ignorance)
7 are western animation
33 film characters of which
10 are Star Wars+EU because figuring out book vs. film gave me a headache
12 video game characters
138 live action tv characters
137 female characters
143 male characters
1 character who's both a woman and a man at different times
Miss Vida who is always a lady
And because it's me, I couldn't skip counting up that out of 282 characters, 51 of them are in some way, shape, or form, either canonically or demonstrably in Fandom, sometimes a little bit kinda gay. Which is probably a lowball figure, yes. (You count, Skywalker. No, not you. The other one. We know what you did with Obi-Wan.)

And that would be the sound of Leia's brain finally breaking.
We'll just hope she never encounters any RPS in her galaxy. You KNOW it's out there.

There is, on the other hand, a pretty strong canon case that could be made for Tahiri, because whoa with the slashy tension with Jaina.

I less-than-three you lots for tallying this all up.

FWIW I think ...seven of those ten? Are book-only.

I'm pretty much the rogue element of the SW fandom.
