A Reminder and A Catch-Up, As We Start The New Semester!

Reminder for All of Us: User-Info Requirements

Not everybody needs to be as dorkily OCD about prettifying their journal's user-info as *cough* some people are, but there's a basic list of things that all FH character journals need to have on the user-info page. This applies to our oldbie characters whose players may have forgotten to get around to that, as much as it does the new kids on the block. No, I don't apologize to those of you who just got earwormed with The Right Stuff. No, I don't apologize to those of you too young to get earwormed with The Right Stuff.

The two biggies that everyone should check to make sure you have are a link to your character's voicemail post, and a public e-mail address that's not the @livejournal address. If you want people to be able to check with you about apping into your canon, they have to be able to contact you! This may include future players who don't yet have an LJ so they can't just PM you, and the @ livejournal address only works while you have a paid account, so it's not a reliable permanent contact address.

Catch-Up: Adults, Where Do Y'all Live? Business Managers of all Ages, Where Do Y'all Work?

It's time to catch up on who has job openings and residence vacancies, where our new grown-ups have settled in or our old ones have shifted, and any changes to your business info you'd like to make.

If you own or manage a business, please check out the entry for that business to make sure it's accurate, and if it's not, leave a comment right on that page (not this page) with the updated information. A lot of those have grown way out of date due to changing hands or changing employees, and commenting right there will send us a link directly to the right entry without you having to manually link it up over here.

If you play any adult character, please take a look through the OCD threads below, and if any of them apply to you, ping in as needed!

(For people searching for jobs, just a quick run-down: Townies must have a business or work for someone else. Students may have a job, but aren't required to, and teachers are welcome to pick up a job in town too, as long as the player has time to keep up with both responsibilities.)

Business owners, please ping in with the name of the business, what day(s) you have openings, and any special concerns or restrictions. (Only adults, only students, etc.)

Cafe Luke's has job openings for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday! And Monday is flexible!

Strokes Of Genius has openings for Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Arms Hotel has openings for everything that is not Tuesday or Friday, though they are negotiable as well.

The Gig has openings for every day of the week except Monday and Saturday.

Dite's Decadent Delights has openings for any day but Fridays!

Caritas has Wednesday and Friday open (and I can switch Tuesday if needed)!

As mentioned above, if your business already has an entry in the Town Directory, please go straight to that entry to leave us notes about any changes you need made.

If your business doesn't have any entry at all yet, feel free to leave the info for it in this thread. Here's what we need (just put "TBA" for anything you don't know yet):

Please ping in with your address (or just the name of your building), number of living spaces you've got open, and any other pertinent info you'd like to add! This applies to people who have houses who'd welcome a roomie, as well as apartment/hotel managers.

The House of Ill Repute (18 Apocalypse Ave) has a three rooms and a basement open.

Please check the Town Address List, and if your adult character isn't listed there (or is listed incorrectly) ping in here with their name(s) and their place of residence.

Pre-arranged addresses that haven't been moved into yet are fine to list here too. If it's a spot in one of the apartments or the hotel, you don't need the street address, just apartment/room number.

If you don't know yet, you can come back here and ping in when you do!

(Also, feel free to let us know if you spot a character on the list who's moved off-island or left the game and should be removed.)
