meme: reverse questions with a twist!

We last did this in April, but after the weekend, and in case we have any oldbies still hanging around, I thought this might be a good one to do.

The rules:

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow players about the game or their characters, and they will Wall-of-Text if they want to, look, I know how some of you are answer them. They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course and etc.

Questions might include "Which of your characters are you the most like?", "Which BDE was your favorite?", "What music do you RP to?", etc.

Are there any characters you've almost apped, and then changed your mind on?

When I came back to the game a while ago, I considered bringing back Jack Carter or Worf. I decided to cut the ties to those characters instead. Still considering apping a new version of Marty as a teacher but I haven't had the brain recently to write classes.

Recent trends have been characters who swear a lot or are family friendly. Jones of course is completely different than others as she... well she's weird.

Before I would either go with downright wacky or grumpy characters.

I had only one real post with Jack in it but Mel and Marty took up all my time. Dale Cooper didn't even make it out of the arrival post.

I'm not a reader at all, but I finally caved and started digging into smilestopscars's canon.

Corrie has an unusually high track record of canons I wind up reading, for some reason.

I tried to do a plot earlier this year and I just couldn't pull it together due to work. If I have something it's just going to be short and sweet and put together without massive amounts of coding.

Seriously, stuff with Alistair and Morrigan got so much more emotional than I expected.

Plus there was tripping and falling into a brief Kerrigan-Algren thread for nostalgia's sake that made me go all soft and rubbery.

Bristow's mun was on my flist and mentioned something about it in his personal LJ. I checked it out and saw they were doing a second enrollment and signed up after the first week it started.

I know it's a new semester, but are there any new characters you're thinking of apping?

Nope! For the first time since, uh, I played this guy's canon, my new character cache is empty.

Which is probably good for my sanity and/or will last until the next game that really grabs me, most likely.

And are there any characters you'd love to play but for whatever reason probably never will?

Young Jean Grey, because I haven't read all the original Jean's canon, and because I'd rather play against her. And I've had thoughts about Bobbi Morse, but I don't think that'll actually happen.

You are all SUPER NICE! I was seriously so worried I would end up sadly playing with myself (notdirty) all weekend -- which would still have been nostalgic fun! -- but everybody I talked to or hesitantly pinged were really nice about it!

Have you ever made a decision re: your character's canon and then gone "ugh why did I do that?"

Ever so often I look at the ending of Atton's canon catchup and go WHY DID I DO THAT. And then I remember the answer is 'because the canonical version is nonsensical and all over the place and this interpretation is as good as any'.

I'm also forever nervous about all the stuff I've had to make up, background-wise, over the years. Especially for characters like this one.

I think my all time favorite was back in the wild west days of the game when Marty got bitten and thought he was Principal Sarah Connor. He dressed his pet muppet chicken as John Connor.

The other one was the Seigfried and Roy gremlin bite with R2 recording everything.

YES! So much of it! Did you know the squirrels didn't arrive at the radio until at least a year in? Because that surprised me. And I tracked down most of the re-souling Angelus plot which was awesome (thank god for obsessive memory-ing as some of it was NFB so radio didn't help). And the Meerkats vs Stickbugs war. And backread the radio, basically.

I think I gave up around early 2008.

Oh, but Fry linked me to the Nothing and I read that. Creeeeeepy.

Not when I make them up, but if they end up being wrong I hate everything forever.
