meme?: bland fandom headcanons
My workday went straight to hell upon walking in the cursed door, so why not post the thing I've been telling people I was going to post for like the last six months? We haven't done this since 2014 so I'm sure there's stuff that's been added or we've re-forgotten.
(Have I been meaning to post this for so long that I've cribbed something post ideas from it? THAT'S WHAT IT'S HERE FOR.)

Since this game has been around forever now, we collectively have a lot of either Fandom minutiae we've established and forgotten about (there used to be a Whomping Willow!) or Burning Fandom Questions we've never gotten a real answer for (just how many forms are there if you accidentally kill a student? How about if you do it on purpose?). This is a place to let your brainstorming go wildand for us to steal good headcanon and turn into real canon.

Established already
Re: Established already
Re: Established already
I've seen mention of pillow trees and chocolate cherry trees on the roof and if they're up there, someone else planted them up there (or the island replicated her garden)! When Ino was a student the roof-garden wasn't in use and I got permission from the admins to have her start a garden on the grounds.

Re: Established already
For the record, Ino's garden is full of flowers—most of them from totally different worlds. She had some from Liir's world (including one that was multi-coloured, spiky, and glowed) and a few incredibly rare ones from Karal's world that were red-and-gold.
For trees, in addition to pillow and chocolate cherry trees, there's also clothing trees (incredibly basic clothing; simple shirts/pants/skirts) at least one shoe tree (same deal as the clothing, we're talking basic flats and boots here), blanket trees, milkweed plant (pods contain fresh milk), a cocoa-nut tree (the nuts are filled with chocolate milk), a single pie tree (all kinds of pie!), and a mys-tree (it's always going to look different and be a ~mystery~. XD )

Honestly, that tree's lucky that's all it got.

I imagine that if you open the sixth floor fridge you probably get like, a waft?

Maybe Sabine needs to paint it.
Re: Established already
There's a bunch of stuff I forgot about the store in that period when I disappeared, but I've brought back some of it!
Things Brought Back that I remembered:
-Cheese Panda
-An actual Turtle & Canary at the register
-They sell everything...except duct tape. I still have no idea why that is, I just (possibly??) remember it being a thing from way before T&C was even T&C. I have NO idea why, I'm not sure I've ever known, but my headcanon has always been because Duct Tape fixes everything, so by not having it, it's a marketing ploy to force you to buy more stuff.
Things that I've Conveniently Glossed over and are No Longer Things:
-The Squishy machine actually being a sentient full-service Squishy Bot
-Liz the Robot Security Dog. (She may be dismantled or out of service, buried somewhere in a back room, perhaps).
And, of course, the usual and/or new things:
-Apu is always there. ALWAYS. *cue creepy music*
-An increase in products from the GFFA, most notably a wide selection of caf and fresh meiloroon whenever Summer can get her hands on it
-Bigger on the inside
-Can literally special order from ALMOST anywhere
I'm sure there's a million and one other things I've forgotten about the store over the years, so if anyone wants to refresh my memory on anything, I'd be happy to revive some things here and there
Also, I will admit, half the reason I bothered posting this was because I now have an icon of Summer punching a hamburger.
Re: Established already
Okay, so once upon a time many many many many years ago, T&C was called "All and Sundries" and was I believe owned in part by Pippi Longstocking? (It was founded by someone played by the same character, but I feel like Pippi ended up buying it out at some point.) Who was very good friends with my first character, Nadia Santos. Who had a long-standing feud with duct tape, because I thought I was funny.
Then we ran a plot where Pippi and Nadia's boyfriend Walter kidnapped Nadia from the store and basically mummified her in duct tape while doing it. . . .
I don't actually know if that's the reason. I mean, the same player who played Pippi and Blackadder (the first owner) also played Jane Canary, so IT MIGHT BE!
Re: Established already
And when Turtle took over with Jane, it just stuck in her brain with the duct tape thing, and therefor stuck in MY brain, too.
So. After all these years, it could just all very well be Nadia's fault. Hot damn!
(Turtle still wants to insist its marketing, though XD)

Re: Established already
As far as Ibe ever known, there's actually not a ton in the back room. I k Ka there's darts and a TV that can apparently be seen from the bar.
The zombies always have a merch table next to the stage where you can buy CDs and shirts, among other moddable things. And there's totally a timer that will spritz Febreze on the stage to negate zombie smell.
Town and school
Re: Town and school
This is how the sixth floor became what it once was before the remodel (anyone remember the sixth floor exploration adventures?) and is slowly happening in the empty rooms on all the other floors. . . .

Re: Characters
The waitstaff is an ever rotating bunch of faceless nobodies who I assume are college students from Baltimore who freak out about Fandom being Fandom and quit after at most a month.

Once they get their big break, though..,

Re: Burning questions
EDIT: Can't find it in a quick search while I'm at work, so I'm going to do a more in-depth search tonight. But I know there's a number because Shannon and I looked it up one time and laughed our asses off because we'd been assuming ICly that portals were expensive but they were cheap af for Ino and Zack to bop around the multiverse.
