Meme: Reverse questions

I want a meme. We haven't done this one since September.

Tag in with your characters and then people will comment asking the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR CHARACTERS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this character?", "How do you channel them?", etc).

Don't forget to check back to see who else has pinged in for questions!

I just realized I could have expounded so much more on the WHY, but then we'll be here literally all day. But it really boils down to characters being awesome, plot being engaging, and just a lot of really good memories busting my way through all of these games that have seriously influenced SO much about who I am and what I enjoy creatively.

LIKE, Rosella going on a quest to save her dad in KQ4 and then being able to be all, "YEAH NO I think we should probably get to know each other first" when she gets the guy at the end was SO IMPORTANT to wee little me, it is ICONIC. Six is still my favorite for the story and production, but GOD DAMN FOUR. Roberta Williams=ICON.

(Okay, I'm done now. Maybe) lol

Okay so I totally asked this question because I have literally all these games available to me (husband is a huge KQ fan, we have the boxes displayed on a shelf in our living room) and I am deeply intimidated by any kind of long series because I always end up going "DO I HAVE TO START AT THE FIRST ONE?????" (This is also why I have utterly failed at ever reading a Discworld book, lol.)

And now that I look it up, I believe FF VI is the one and only that I played for like, an evening, and even then I remember being super impressed by how fantasy it was, 'cause most of my Final Fantasy knowledge comes from Kingdom Hearts and from what I understand that draws (at least, like, aesthetically) from the later games.

SO ANYWAY IT LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE PLAYING SOME KQ 6 AT SOME POINT HERE, if the chronology really doesn't matter that much omg. I'm a sucker for a point-and-click game (LucasArts is my jaaaaaaaaam) and I actually believe I've heard a tale of someone getting Actually For Reals Stuck in one of these games because they didn't have the right item to move forward, and I'm wondering if it was 3, now.
