Oh my god I'm having the worst work week and my day blew up, please give me something to read. We did this last in May but I came up with a bunch of new questions because I'm a dork who does that.

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow players about the game or their characters, and they will Wall-of-Text if they want to, look, I know how some of you are answer them. They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course and etc.


Questions might include "Which of your characters are you the most like?", "Which BDE was your favorite?", "What music do you RP to?", etc.

Percy isn't the hardest but he takes more time to write. He has a level of sophistication that is above my head.

When one of your kids needs to get out more, how do you handle it?

I try to get them (outside of classes) to post once a week and visit another post once a week. These last couple of weeks being the exception.

Are there any aspects of your characters that you've had to research or handwave their knowledge of?

Have you learned anything knowledge-wise thanks to the game?

I've learned a lot about Muslim traditions and practices which has really opened my eyes thanks to Kamala.

Also I'm learning about blacksmithing thanks to this joker.

How do you handle a character having a canon ship? Do you avoid it, write them in, etc?

Depends where I'm taking them from canon. Right now Percy is in canon before he and Vex hooks up and he's definitely pining for her though he doesn't quite realize it.

What's the biggest trauma you ever put one of your characters through?

I would love to point to my character's trauma but I feel like every time I write something traumatic it turns to comedy or garbage.

Do you have any character relationships right now that have surprised you?

Of all my characters who'd get along with Harley and Liliana, I didn't think it'd be Rey but I love it.

If you've ever brought characters in as a pairing with someone else, what do/did you like about it?

I did so twice; once worked beautifully well (Eliot/Parker/Hardison) and one war a spectacular mess (Kathy/Nick).

Because it's 50/50, I'm not sure if I do like it, though having RP partners that you can get deep with right off the bat was great. Perhaps it's more "I like bringing in people with an established relationship already, but I don't like bringing in characters who WILL get together with someone later."

Give me an established pairing or give me freedom, I cannot abide the middle ground of expectation.

Have your characters ever ended up with quirks/interests you weren't expecting?

Why did you choose your PBs?

Most of my currents are the actors that played them and thank god. Kitty I could have used Elliot Page for at the time (in retrospect I'm glad because I would feel disrespectful using those icons now) but he didn't fit the look of the canon I was bringing Kitty in from, so I paged through like every brown-haired girl on PB finder and settled. I'm happy with her now though.

Have you ever stopped paying attention to a canon while you were playing the character?

I noped out of Chicago Med (and the rest of One Chicago tbh) around season seven, yeah.

Are there any events you like putting characters through? You can be as general or specific as you want.

I actually like Rey during pollen because she doesn't have enough opportunities to be cranky.

When do you decide it's time to bring in a new character?

Usually it's a character I like but I don't have a good idea how to bring them in until I have an epiphany on how to make it work.

Like when I was watching canon for this guy when he was in the feywild and went "Ooooooo!"

Are there any tricks you have that make playing on tiny phone internets easier?

1) pre-writing some stuff while on my desktop. For example, when Watts brings lunches for Steven I usually link to a recipe- I write up the html code and stick it in an email draft so all I have to do is copy and paste. same for party posts if I know I'm linking to an outfit or etc.

2) autocorrect text replacements. So if I type "ii" on my phone, it replaces it with the opening and closing italics tags.

Do you have any quirks when it comes to your icons, such as which ones you pick or what keywords you use?

My most recent quirk is that I hate everyone one of my icons and cringe when I choose one. I don't know why.

What would you like to see more of in the game?

I know the game has evolved but I'd really like to see more students.

Do people IRL know about the game? If not, how do you explain who we are?

Nick of course knows. Otherwise it's too much to explain so you are all SDCC-related friends. Which is true.

Has the way you handle ships changed over time?

I just let them happen and be better at communicating than I used to be.

Are there any canon developments you're excited to get to, or want to squee about? What about vent?

[magnificent_bitch_face]

The Thunderbolts movie actually looks good from the trailer so I have hopes for that one. Also there seems to be some movement for a season 2 of Ms. Marvel which I just want to happen and be good. And also have another dance number.

Is there anything you want to shake out of a character that you haven't been able to yet?

Sabine's got so much trauma I really should get out of her somehow. Just a little.

Have you ever had a problem getting a character's voice, and what did you do to fix it?

[throughaphase]

I don't do fanfic these days but I'll go back to canon and start writing little missing scenes, trying to match the voice. It usually helps.
