Meme: Questions

Oh my god I'm having the worst work week and my day blew up, please give me something to read. We did this last in May but I came up with a bunch of new questions because I'm a dork who does that.

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow players about the game or their characters, and they will Wall-of-Text if they want to, look, I know how some of you are answer them. They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course and etc.


Questions might include "Which of your characters are you the most like?", "Which BDE was your favorite?", "What music do you RP to?", etc.

Check in throughout the day to add questions/answer questions that have been added!

If we're talking originally originally, it was a lark when Trollprincess first started suggesting a Fandom High game. I made an Angelus journal and went right in.

In terms of coming back, it was that MCU Moon Knight was pure me bait and I wanted to try to do something with Moony, but I knew I didn't have the brainpower for fic. Then I remembered the game and thought well maybe I could at least handle a ping's worth of writing at a time. And here we are.

Characters ever would probably be the Angel dying thing. If we get more specific to these boys then it was Steven having to go through mourning his mother both in terms of her actual death as well as his continuing realizations of how much of what he remembered about her wasn't real.

Who Marc does and doesn't end up vibing with sometimes surprises me. There'll be characters who on paper might seem ideal for him to get along with where he doesn't, and others you'd think he'd never give the time of day where he does.

That's not true of everyone he has some kind of connection with, but if I had a nickel, yanno?

Steven and ice skating was a surprise. But it made sense as something where you could dress up cozy and hold a loved one's hand.

Luckily I've never had to pick, as I've always done characters from live action. Though man do I regret that Marc and Steven only have like two outfits tops. I've gotten to the point where I'd use pictures of Oscar in other places if I could but it's hard to narrow it down to when he doesn't have a beard, then on top of that there's the thing where his default isn't Marc or Steven's facial expressions. Ah well. The things we do for character love.

Jaina by far. She is leaps and bounds away from where she first started here and all her relationships have changed with her and gotten better.

Honestly can't remember where Buffy canon was when I was playing Willow. I know there was stuff in canon I noped out of regardless though.

I haven't noped out of the MCU but since the MCU just had to nope out of itself thanks to Jonathan Majors I'm at the point where when/if I have brainpower I'll finally decide what big picture canon things are happening back in the boys' home. One of these years.

Truth day can be a nice one for having characters say things they normally wouldn't. Good way to give them a kick in the pants for development with other characters.

"No worries if not!" Don't get me wrong, I love my ships, but if my characters are just single it's fine. If a character has a crush that goes nowhere it's realistic and can actually be interesting.

Energy level is the biggest for me. I'm not getting the boys out as much as I want, so I know I don't have the time to devote to another character.

Next is do they appeal to me and do I feel like I could actually do something with them on the island. There have been two characters I was tempted to apply but ultimately their canons left them in a place where it felt like their stories were done in a way that was satisfying. No need for me to add anything, so my interest in playing them waned.

Marc and Steven have their names in front of their icons so it's easy to find them. Midnight has ZZs in front since I don't need those as often so they can drop to the bottom of the list.

After that it's just keywords that help me remember what the picture is, because with my cruddy eyesight I'm not always able to see the nuance of expression. Which does have me worry sometimes if someone hovers over them because the keywords aren't necessarily what the icon is just what I'll remember. For example, Steven has an icon that's "unsure" but that's just for me. It doesn't necessarily indicate he's unsure about what the other character is saying.

More things like Supper Club would be great, I think. Of course I say that as someone who currently hasn't been able to join due to RL, let alone volunteer to run one. But for instance some characters have talked about having wine tastings, and I know OOCly there's been discussion of a witchy meetup for the magic users. Basically casual stuff that happens every so often that's an excuse for characters to meet who might not otherwise.

If it gets mentioned at all then it's as an RPG I play on the regular. It's so complicated to explain that even with fannish friends I might not get into detail. Or if I give detail it's to say it's a game of people playing characters from favorite fandoms.

Maybe more OOC communication? But I'm trying to be the OOC communication person in general, to the point of paranoia possibly.

I beat this drum a lot but man I would love to get Hunter's Moon in MCU canon.

Steven hasn't yet realized the full extent of how much of his life was made up. He's got the majority of it but there's a couple of bits that haven't come up yet.

Marc I'd love to use his words more but that's just me wanting to shake him in general. Sadly he's only ever going to be somewhat communicative, at best.

Arrogant, maybe, but I think Marc and Angelus and Belthazor might've been interesting, given that the whole protector of travelers of the night means going after evil vampires and demons.
