I should have posted this last night! Sorry.

Then again there would have been less shirtless people around on the second floor last night.

I guess it all balances out! *g*

Classified Ads

As you might have noticed while skimming your flist this morning, Fandom Town now has a Classified Ads. The paper will be available for free at public places in town.

It is mainly meant to help people out to find a place to live (for example when the next teachers come in, they can look for people to share a house with by placing an 'ad' in the post), find work (anyone can place ads if they have a position to fill) or to promote their business. To spice things up a bit, there is a singles section for those who have trouble finding a date. Please see the link provided for details of how the classified ads will operate.

Depending on how popular this gets, we'll be releasing new Classified Ads during transitional periods (such as new students or townies coming in) or if things run smoothly and the singles really hit it off, we might do this on a monthly basis. Either way, this post will remain open constantly and we'll try to put reminders up in the Town Hall posts.

Is everything clear? Any questions? If not, have at it! And single desperate people, please make it as cracky as you want!

'Lo, all!

So, those of you who were around last winter remember the Big Brother/Big Sister program, right?

For those who don't, we basically set a new character up with an old one who volunteered, and they ICly show them around and help them with what they need.

OOCly, if the new character's mun is new, then the player of the Big Sibling is charged with helping them get a feel for the game.

We have a new batch of new kids coming in, and so we're doing it again!

Please volunteer if you fit the following:

- Your character won't be antagonistic about helping out someone (Rory will be running the program ICly and your character can be signed up against their will, or something, if you would really like to do this, but please don't sign up if they're not going to be helpful to a new kid.)

- You have the time to possibly field questions from a newbie, and will be around consistently for the next few weeks.

- You have been in the game long enough to have a good feel for it. I encourage you to only sign up if you've been around since at least the start of spring semester, but if you guys who have been here this summer think you can handle it, more power to you. :)

Please snag me or any of the mods/admins on IM or via email if you have any questions. Please sign up by 7:00 PM EDT on Saturday the 26th if you are interested in being a Big Brother or Sister so as to give us time to match people up before newbies arrive.

If we have an overflow of volunteers, the Secret Sibling program will be put into effect again. Details on that will follow if neccessary.
