Classes for Spring Semester 2010!

With applications open, it's time for current teachers to let us know what they'd like to toss at the students in the spring semester!

Do YOU Need This Form?

• If you are a current teacher, just read the rest and fill out the form below.
  
• If you are a current teacher wanting to move to townie status OR a current townie wanting to be a teacher, go here.
  
• If you have chocolate, proceed directly to bigdamndean@gmail.com. The lives of many eighth graders will be saved by your actions.
  
• New teacher characters should fill out the regular application form and ignore this post entirely.

What's Needed For A Class?

• The ability to come up with 15 weeks worth of classes (14 + 1 exam with a 1 week break in the middle).
  
• The ability to post each class by noon Pacific or 3pm Eastern the day it's scheduled (you can also post the night before).
  
• The ability to interact with your students (slow play is fine, you don't need to be around all the time).

Remember, not hearing from us right away is good - we will e-mail current/returning teachers to let them know their class works for us around the same time we send out final decisions on character applications.

Your teacher character's form will need to be in these comments by Saturday, December 18, 2010 for great scheduling justice.

Ladies and gentlemen, beware!

The BDE may soon be upon us, but so is the advent! Starting Wednesday, December 1st, the island will be counting down to Christmastime once again, with something whacky happening every day - well, as long as Jareth isn't there to mangle the place in his own fashion. Here's a list of events you can be expecting this week!

December 1st, Wednesday - Sparkly pine trees show up all across Fandom! These wee little things can grow anywhere, and they certainly glitter up a room!
December 2nd, Thursday - It's snowing, though nobody gets a snow day - powdered sugar is fluttering down from the skies!
December 3rd, Friday - Everyone wakes up wearing a jaunty Santa hat! If you take it off, another one will appear in its stead.
December 4th, Saturday - Saint Nicholas Day is almost upon us - that's why the skies will open and release a rain of yummy kruidnoten upon the island! Just be sure to bring an umbrella!

Remember, events that aren't weather-related can be experienced by alumni, so guys on the other end of the dimensional divide - take note! Stay tuned for more advent random events after the BDE!
