not-so random event heads up!

fates_jayeHello and here is your notice that you're going to have some stuff to play with for the next week! See, as of Tuesday, there's going to be a little bit of a problem with the rum shipments to the island. Namely, there won't be any. This means that while personal stashes of alcohol will be just fine and other alcohols will be readily available, you won't be able to get rum at the bars or at the stores on island.
Which means that as of Thursday, March 14, the radio squirrels will go on strike until they start getting paid regularly again.
What does this mean for you? Well, since the show must go on, there are going to be some temporary replacements for the squirrels: the teal deer and the squirrels' adorable visiting cousins, the Japanese squirrels! This means that you're going to be able to mod the teal deer trying to discreetly watch you while taking notes, or that your NFB radio notes are Japanese, squirrels picketing around town, as long as you have fun with it.
Within a week the rum shipment issue will be resolved, and as of radio on Thursday, March 21, the squirrel strike will be over. But it will live forever in our memories.
