Not a major update; no real changes to functionality here. Highlights are:

* They've upped the number of posts an account has to contain to not be considered inactive, from 1 to 2. If it's been logged into in the last 2 years, it's also safe, and they'll send e-mails again, so nothing will just disappear. Basically, expect another, probably smaller, flurry of notification e-mails sometime soon, for those old RP journals that you didn't end up logging to last time.

* They eliminated the middle-ground "adult concepts" status, so now things are only "adult content" or "no adult content." If you previously had a post or journal labeled with the "concepts" level, it will default back to "no adult content."

* There should be less "Login from an unrecognized location" e-mails now.

* A bunch of bugfixes that don't have a lot of effect on RPers.

The barista took my bagel and cream cheese away to toast the bagel, handed it back to me in a bag, and I only discovered an hour and a half later that they didn't give me back the cream cheese. Faaaaaail. (I had to complain about something, since this is a pretty innocuous LJ update.)

Hey-ho, Fandomites!

Since the BDE's coming up next week, we're giving you some practical information, as well as giving you a sneak peek of day 1 to help you with your plotting needs!

Starting Tuesday, April 9th posts will start going up in the fh_dungeon community. Currently only admins have posting access, but everyone should be able to leave comments - please check with us if that doesn't work, or if you might need posting access for whatever reason. The main comms will primarily contain the BDE posts: one camp post and one maze post each day.

Except for when it's more. (Ooooh. Mystery.)

You can use the OCD in the maze posts to play out your adventures in either the rooms we've provided or the ones you've come up with. You can also make a post in your personal journal and link to that in the OCD. Other personal posts (dirty, emotional, wacky, anything you don't think fits in the main posts) can also still be posted to your personal journal.

Please also note that injuries sustained in rooms will remain with your character. At the end of the plot you'll have the choice between keeping those injuries or letting them be healed; the Toymaker discriminates on the basis of what entertains him most.

There will be some rooms this BDE that have effects that can and will last past the room you're in, so be careful. Or don't, if it's more fun being a menace to your fellow students. Whatever territory you happen to be on when the maze makes its overnight changes is the territory the maze will consider you to be on, so if your character is wandering Camp 2's halls after being thrown out of Camp 1, they'll be considered part of Camp 2's territory.

And finally, some previews for Day 1 of the BDE!

We'll be revisiting the Wishverse - take the red colored door and find yourself in Fandom's park in the middle of the night, vampires scuttling around. If you are bitten by a vampire, you'll be a Buffyverse vampire for the duration of this plot, with all the side-effects that involves. Also, if you have currently-active or dropped characters who were active during that particular BDE, you are completely welcome to NPC those characters' Wishverse selves in this room. So dig up your old accounts!

We'll also be going back to a BDE from the snowy wastes of our history - take a walk through the white-frosted door and find yourself in winter wonderland Fandom, the year 2006, when Turtle & Canary was still All and Sundries, and snowmen roamed the streets looking for victims. Nom nom nom.

Camps will be completely isolated from one another this first day. For further information, we'd like to direct you to our very first dungeon map of the BDE!
