It's Monday and it's also the Monday before a three-day weekend. I'm not at all bothered by this week.

Here's a meme we last did in June of last year!

For those of you not familiar with Harry Potter, there are four houses into which the students are sorted based on certain defining traits:

Gryffindor - daring, courage and chivalry
Hufflepuff - hard workers, loyalty, fairness
Ravenclaw - wit, learning, and wisdom
Slytherin - cunning, resourcefulness and ambition

A couple points for clarification because I've seen a lot of sorting stuff over the years:
All hero types are not necessarily Gryffindors.
All jerks/bad guys are not necessarily Slytherins, nor are all Slytherins necessarily jerks/bad guys.
Hufflepuff is not where you stick someone just because you can't think of anything else.
People can totally fit into more than one house.

All you have to do is ping your characters in, and people can chime in with which house they think your character belongs in. You can totally comment as to where you think your character should go, too. Feel free to give reasons when sorting people because that's half the fun, just don't be mean or I will totally come over there. And don't forget to check back during the day as more people ping in.

Tabula Rasa Weekend! ETA: And Random Event!

Hi folks!

Two weekends from now (July 9th and 10th) all your stress and worries will be forgotten... along with everything else! Fandom's been so bored out in space lately, it's bringing back Tabula Rasa! (And yes, this time it's still just the island screwing with you, because Fandom remembers how much "fun" it was to watch when somebody did it by accident.)

Anyone who wants to participate will wake up on Saturday morning with all of their memories erased, and will have no background history to go from other than what they pick up when they wake up. Your character's abilities and personality won't change - but discovering you have those abilities could be fun! Or traumatizing. We have half a bet riding on 'traumatizing'. On Monday morning, everyone's memories will return to normal, along with all the new memories from the weekend.

Like all events, this is voluntary, so feel free to keep your memories and warm up some popcorn!

ETA: I almost forgot to mention this, but before Tabula Rasa weekend, on Monday, July 4th - hi, Independence Day! - the island is celebrating the holiday by giving everyone One Day, One Wish! This event, ganked from the brainstorming of the now-departed new_to_liirness, means everyone on Fandom gets what they think they want for one day. Play it for laughs ("OMG the bikini babes won't even let me PEE alone!"). Play it for drama ("...I know you're going to disappear tomorrow, but it was nice having a family for a day."). Play it for simplicity ("Wow. Thank you. That was just an awesome cheesecake.") But everyone gets one wish.

And at midnight, it ends. Alas.
