Administrative Notice

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005 10:13 am
[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com
Today is the day I said I would be suspending community memberships (or, actually, just posting access) for students and faculty/staff if you did not have contact information on your info page. Today is also rather past the deadline for the faculty forms and also for faculty to have updated their info pages to include class/syllabus information.

If you suddenly find yourself not a member, please make the adjustments as requested/required here and here and place a comment below and you will be re-added.

This will probably take me most of the day to sift through.

Also on today's agenda is to put out an application form for the Townies. It will follow the same lines as that for the faculty and you have until 10/16 to fill it out and mail it in. It is also required that you have a valid e-mail on your info page. It would be extremely helpful if you included information regarding your character/business, including hours of operation and/or rules of conduct, but not a requirement.

I realize that a number of the Townies are existing in a sort of limbo and, as there are no posting requirements at this time, that's fine. We do, however, need to know that you still exist and that is the function of this form. We're taking a survey so we know who is actually still present and interested in playing.

Everyone should have [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh_ooc friended and read it daily as it has been stated several times that this is the community wherein we make administrative announcements. I am not going to be particularly sympathetic if people send me e-mail complaining that they've lost access but don't know why.

Please keep up on the rules. Please read the administrative announcements. We're trying to make player interaction as easy and pleasurable as possible by encouraging communication and easy access to information. Your cooperation will, hopefully, make the game easier to follow and more fun all the way around.

ExpandList of Faculty/Staff Forms I have received. If you sent one and your name isn't on here, please let me know right away as I did not receive it. )

PLEASE NOTE! Some of these faculty members still have no visible e-mail. Although you may have included it on your form, it still needs to be on your info page.

Just because sooooo much happens here, I'm trying to make the nominations for Best Dramatic/Funniest Moment nominations easier to submit.

Please go here to submit any scene which you think is either the funniest or most dramatic moment for the month of October. At the end of the month the three highest nominated scenes will be voted on.

Please provide a general description of the scene and a link.

Oh and if any of the Mods would be happy to grace this little thing I'm doing as "official" so I can remove the "Un" from the subject line I'd appreciate it. *Gives Puppy Dog Eyes*

Please go HERE to nominate a scene. It's on my own personal journal so I can access it easily.

Any replies to this post on the OOC board with nominations will be ignored.

I'll be accepting Character nominations at the end of the month.

May I just say that most of you completely rock? I've got a list of people with no listed e-mail as yet that's getting a bit long (some of them very active players too which sort of surprises me) and one or two people who still have not listed a fandom....

But the majority of you have information pages that absolutely rock my world. All the info is there, it all makes sense and you make me proud and insanely happy. Thank you so very, very much for making the life of your admins and your fellow players easier. It makes a huge difference and I appreciate it deeply.

Thank you.

63 players and faculty are about to lose posting access to the communities. See here for details and how to get re-instated.

Warnings were publicly given on several occasions and this is the last time that I will be putting something like this on [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh. [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh_ooc is where the administrative warnings and notices go and you should have it friended and be keeping up with the rules so that you do not end up with a suspended account.

People have been suspended for one or more of the following:

Student has no fandom listed.
Student has no genuine e-mail listed.
Faculty has no genuine e-mail listed.
Faculty has no syllabus/class schedule or link to same listed.

I realize that one or two of these people may in fact be out-of-town and will repair the omission as soon as they get back. There are several accounts that exist solely as message-boards and those are not required to have additional e-mail... but everyone else should have an e-mail listed somewhere on their info page.

If you have been removed, please rectify the omission and then comment here to be reinstated. It is as easy as that.

Believe me, this is far more work on my part than I'd wish on anyone, both in denying access and re-granting it. I'm not enjoying it at all, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Ed: Posting access is what's being removed, not membership. Even I'm not that much of a masochist to want to have to go back and re-ad every. single. person. a second time.

Slightly OT: ZebraCon

Are any of the other muns out here going to be at ZebraCon in Chicago?

Do we want to plan a time/place to meet up and terrorize FH through whatever powerbooks we can scrounge up chat?

[livejournal.com profile] drgrissom's post inspired this for me. I've had something like this for the Refugees for a while now and figured a huge post would help everyone. I'll keep updating this post and bump it up after each enrollment to make things easier for people.

I'm aware of the fact that we have over a hundred people here right now and we're spread out all over the world, so RPGing a conversation or getting a hold of a specific Mun at a certain time is a bit hard to do. I figured something like this would help everyone.

Admin: If I'm overstepping any bounds feel free to let me know.

There appear to be some issues with the forwarding accounts I just set up. Working on them.

ETA: ExpandThe following e-mail accounts are being typed incorrectly... )

Please, please, please do *not* use a fandomhigh.com address until it's been confirmed. I will delete any e-mail in the catch-all.
