Anyone interested in joining up with the Wildcrafting Club, we'll be going out on our third outing this Wednesday evening [TONIGHT] around 8ish, Eastern Time. We'll be playing in slowtime over the course of the week. I welcome improvisation and the appearance of spontaneous monsters, magical creatures, and dangerous herbs.

I'm trying to find the original post with my member listing, but it was from back in September and I'm not sure how many original members are still with us. Signup is currently open. [livejournal.com profile] kikidelivers and [livejournal.com profile] threeweapons were the only ones to show for last week's meeting, although we had a larger turnout for the one before that.

Also, I had a question regarding the geography around fandomhigh and the layout of the fandomhigh buildings themselves. I saw that a map of the Town has been made. Has one been started for Fandomhigh itself? I envisioned a wild area with woods and whatnot on the other side of the town, but didn't want to step on canon. Wildcrafting Club will probably map out the parkland outside and will include descriptions of the physical plant of the high school itself.

Okay, going offline until tomorrow now.

[Note: I posted this to my journal by mistake. Reposting here now. *headsmack*]

Good evening,

I just wanted to put up a couple of links notifying of some small changes to the [livejournal.com profile] fandom_clinic community.

It is the hope of [livejournal.com profile] gotcanewillpoke and myself that these changes will help keep posts and timelines from becoming too confusing and frustrating for both our Staff and our Patients.

Any questions, please direct them to either House’s mun or myself.

Thank you.

Because Veronica-mun is extra smart, I'm copping this idea from her. (Gonna do it again in a minute for debate, so sorry for the multi-post in advance!)

Gang, Crichton-mun did posters. I'll do ad copy if we want. But we should talk about our text/subtext and how we want to persuade people to say yes, and why they wouldn't want to in the first place (because you know, who could say no to Celine? *wink*)

I'll post a link back to the Journalism class if we get going here.

Also, I'll make two separate threads. One for OOC discussion and one for the IC discussion that Spider 'sees'.

I'll be AFK for about an hour or so. Jump right on in. Water's fine.

As a reminder, here is the assignment:

Your assignment, due next week, is to produce a poster/propaganda campaign based on the idea of 'Just say yes'. Requirements are at least two posters, some sort of flyer, a spot in the student newspaper or the radio and at least one faculty endorsement of whatever it is that you are encouraging.

For convenience, I'm creating this post for us to OOC and IC hash out the debate stuff.

I'll place a link to either the Ethics classroom or Study Hall or the Perk or something for the IC stuff once we get going, to provide an IC chrono context for the discussions.

Tara-mun, you're included, in case we have OOC questions, but more until we get the sitch with Shep's ankle and his replacement, if any, straightened out.

I'll be AFK for an hour or so. Otherwise, jump on in. And whomever gets assigned in Shep's place - jump on in. I'll change the subject line to include you as soon as I know who you are. :D

As a reminder, this is the assignment:

First speaker, Affirmative - defines the key words, outlines the arguments his or her team will be making, and begins to address them.
First speaker, Opposition - briefly rebuts (disagrees with) the points 1A made, outlines their own team's arguments, begins to address them.
Second speaker, Affirmative - briefly rebuts 1O, gives the body of the team's argument.
Second speaker, Opposition - briefly rebuts 2A, gives the body of the team's argument.
Third speaker, Affirmative - rebuts all the arguments of the Opposition, in detail. May add one new argument if appropriate.
Third speaker, Opposition - rebuts all the arguments of the Affirmative, in detail. May not add any new points.

So it was Latin class one day when Cammie-mun began doodling Fandom High characters in school uniforms (Camulus looked smashing in his kilt and sweater-vest), and when there's school uniforms, there has to be a school crest. I thought I'd Cher share.

Yep, it's a graphic. )

Drawn before the advent of Mr. Fluffypants; I pondered what animal would best represent Fandom High. An Uzi-wielding chicken. Duh. Mediums: lined looseleaf, Sharpie, crayons.
