OOC: RL intrudes

RL has intruded, unpleasantly, on the fantastic crack that is FH. While the timing couldn't be worse, I have to back away from the Game.

It's possible that I may be able to return in the spring when certain obligations are fulfilled, but it's not fair to make anyone wait on me. If anyone wants to do something with Beka right now, feel free to respond to this post. If not, I'll send her home during Thanksgiving and put her on the run from her family and school and see what happens.

I'll miss you all very much.

Sage

PS - I've screened the comments to this post for privacy of anyone who might be interested in picking Beka up.

PPS - Cally-mun, I'll still help write the story for CT. Beka would want to do that before she left.

Regarding Violence

Fandom Town is not Anarchyville. It's a place where people live, work, and play. There's not enough room for someone to do something mind-bogglingly violent without having the police hear about it and come running. It's a quiet burg, kept so by the fact that there's not enough property to damage in a major loot and pillage.

In short, if you're looking for a place to be violently evil, may I suggest another game entirely, because FH isn't the place for it and neither is Fandom Town. The point of the game is goofy, wacky, occasionally angsty hi-jinks. Evil, by its nature, is dramatically implausible over the long term (it's either has to look weak or make authority look weak and neither situation is good for the game), and the authorities in the game will not be casting a blind eye to it, especially not after the Kitty Pryde situation.

Significant acts of violence between characters, even if it's been pre-agreed upon by all participants, need to be run by admin, because we *are* involved when the rules of the Town or School are broken, and being blindsided makes us unhappy.

Adoption Freeze

Admin is putting a freeze on all character adoptions until such time as we can balance certain game issues. We still encourage you to drop a note in the character's journal if they're being dropped, however, so that admin can keep track of who and who is not actively in the game.
