Because my insanity knows no bounds, I've actually started a community, powers help me, fh_muns, open to players.

Please read about what it is and isn't here, and then decide if you feel like joining.

This is an unofficial community started to help try to prevent this one from getting bogged down with posts not relating directly to game mechanics or plot. It may prove that fh_muns may be redundant/unnecessary ("God, not another comm to keep up with!" ...or, maybe, alternately, "Squee, more distraction from work!"), but I'm just tossing this one out there to see if anyone thinks it may be worth having around.

OOC: Study Hall

Since we're starting the new semester tomorrow, are we generally sticking with last semester's schedule for who opens study hall? Admins, do you have a plan? Jenny ran it on Wednesdays last term, and I'm willing to continue that this term. My only change of plan would be to put OCD comment threads into place for each period so that we basically know when things take place during the day.

Just wondering, not intending to step on any toes, and yeah, I'm obsessive that way.

OOC Announcement: School Schedule for the Spring Semester

Behind the LJ cut, folks, is the semester schedule. We have a 15-week term, staggered so as to not coincide as badly as last semester did with actual RL finals and such.

Accepting Applications for: School Counselor

We have decided that the school is in desperate need of a Counselor to deal with all the emo and wangst that is repeatedly kicked up. Obviously, one person cannot deal with all the students, and we'd still encourage those students who'd approach a regular counselor to interact with our various townie counselors.

However, an official School Counselor is requested. If you'd like to apply, please fill out the following form and send it to administration @ fandomhigh.net

Policies: Add/Drop, Class Attendance, Detention Givings, Residence Issues

1) Please double check that all of you have fh_office friended. It's important. It will have its first post tommorow, linked to in the Principal's announcement, but it might be best to have it friended as well. This journal is where Add/Drops of classes will be done, Teachers will drop attendance reports, and where Teachers will list the students who earned detention that day.

2) Adding classes or dropping classes. Starting tommorow, with the beginning of the school term, there is no upwards limit to the amount of classes you can have your character registered for.

Just please, for the love of... Puppies and Christmas, make double extra sure you're not trying to be in two places at once. Please.

To add a class, you take an add slip (which you do NOT need to RP getting from the office, they are in a bin outside the door, and your character just grabs one) to the teacher of the class you want to add. You ask them if you can add, and if they agree, they sign your add slip. You then post to fh_office, under the ADD SLIP OCD thread, with the name of the class you are adding AND a link to getting the signature.

To drop a class, you take an drop slip (which you do NOT need to RP getting from the office, they are in a bin outside the door, and your character just grabs one) to the teacher of the class you want to drop. You ask them if you can drop, and if they agree, they sign your drop slip. You then post to fh_office, under the DROP SLIP OCD thread, with the name of the class you are dropping AND a link to getting the signature.

Please note: You are -required- to have 3 classes. If you drop below 3, your game membership may become endangered and possibly removed.

3) Class Attendance. In order to track student activity levels, we would ask that teachers send in regular attendance records every Monday to the office. Please submit ONLY a list of absences, not those who are actually present.

4) Detentions. When Teachers/Faculty give detention to a student, please submit it to the DETENTION OCD THREAD on the fh_office post for the day. If detentions were earned over the weekend, please submit it to Monday's fh_office post.

5) Residential Issues. All room transfers, etcetera, will also be handled through the RESIDENTIAL ISSUES OCD THREAD.

OOC Annoucement about the Fandom Clinics

Quick OOC brush up for folks old and new to clarify the state of the Clinics!

House and Wilson separated as lovers. Wilson is now living in Fandom Town in the loft above the Fandom Town Emergency Clinic (FTEC), which he has opened with the support of Mayor Red.

The Fandom Town Clinic was a plot in the works for a few months since townies can’t avail themselves of the School Clinic and now it’s dovetailed nicely into this whole storyline but to give you the low down on what you as players need to know.

Wilson is still partners with House at the school clinic. House is also Wilson’s partner at the FTEC. They share equal say in both operations. They are still friends and colleagues, much more back along the lines of canon.

Wilson will be splitting time between the school and town. Probably many of his mornings will be up at the school with afternoons down in town. Both clinics will stock his phone number and his pager…
