Fugdom, omg

So, many of us go read Go Fug Yourself, right? (If you don't, you should.) And it came up the other day -- what would the Fug Girls say about your character? Would they approve of what they generally wear? Does your character, most times, look sleek and put together, and wear attractive things that actually fit? Or do they dress like the infamous Phoebe Price, or just make terrible, terrible choices about their hair and makeup?

So here's your chance to wax poetic about your character's fashion sense. Is is good? Is it bad? Would you be ashamed to be seen in public with them? You don't have to actually talk like a Fug Girl, don't worry, because omg, I could never be that funny. But lucky me, I don't have to, since they fugged poor Robin back in December.

This is not, note, how your character's actor dresses -- that's a whole other meme, and I'll be keeping an eye on [livejournal.com profile] sith_happened when that happens because damn if Hayden doesn't love his trucker hats. No, just tell us about how well-groomed your character is, and how you feel about their fashion sense.

(omg finally I have used this icon appropriately.)

Yes, today is that day. Talk like a pirate day.

But not Talk Like A Pirate Day, which is on a different day entirely.

This is just a day for talking like a pirate, unofficially, and isn't in any way associated with Talk Like A Pirate Day. That's in September. It's still only July.

Umm, where was I? Right. Sorry. Today's piratical random event is that the people of Fandom will be sore afflicted with a speech problem: namely, they talk like pirates!

In order to make this easier: Look! Translator!

Also, if people wanted to adopt pirate names to go with their pirate speech: Ta da!

I think today's Fandom Weirdness would extend to people being struck with the sudden desire to adopt piratical monikers and introduce themselves as same.

Weetiny Weekend!

Yes, boys and girls, it's that time of year again. The first weekend in August, the 2nd and 3rd to be exact, all adults will turn into weetiny kids.

A reminder for those who don't remember or this is their first time doing this:

- The kids will not be terrified of waking up on a big island due to Fandom wacky.
- Also due to that wacky, weapons will be toys so no one can get themselves hurt.
- Clothing will be mysteriously shrunk down as well. Because we don't need another naked mutiny with small ones running about.
- This is for Townies and Teachers!
- If you choose to participate, waking up that Saturday your character will be a kid the whole weekend through until waking up Monday morning again.
