Attention all seniors!

Graduation is coming up quickly, so it's time to get things organized. Here's an information dump post with everything you need to know about graduation and everything we need to know from you.

Graduation Events
There will be a pre-graduation All Night Grad Party Lock-in FH-style for seniors only on Friday, May 1.
There will be a post-graduation brunch on Sunday, May 3.

Graduation Ceremony
When: Saturday, May 2, 2009
Where: Fandom High
What: A ceremony with a musical performance and guest speakers. Seniors will receive their diploma.
Who: Seniors, guests of seniors, guardians of seniors, current students, and current alumni.

Invited Guests
Graduating seniors can have NPC guests come to Fandom for the ceremony. FH Alumni are also welcome to attend for the weekend. All guests may arrive on Thursday, April 30 and are expected to leave by Monday, May 4.

All guests (including returning alumni) will be required to stay in town. See (link) for details on making a room arrangement at the Arms Hotel. During the weekend, guests will be allowed on campus for a variety of events.

Invited guest NPCs can have their own journal (like Parents Weekend), but all guests (whether your character knows about their appearance ICly or not) must be approved in advance.

Please provide us with the following information for each guest:
The Pretty Text Box, OMG )

In order for your guest/s to attend, leave a screened comment to this post by Tuesday, April 28.

Again, guests are only for seniors. Other classes are more than welcome to attend the graduation ceremony in support of their friends, but they cannot bring their own guests. Any questions will be unscreened and answered!

As in years past, this year's graduating class will have a valedictorian (and possibly a salutatorian as well). However, we'd like to try something a bit different this spring, by asking interested seniors to submit a brief in-character essay (up to 3 paragraphs) on why they should be considered for the job, instead of a list of classes and clubs.

The method of choosing the top essay(s) is dependent on the amount of interest, but ideally we're hoping to recruit the teaching staff to vote on it, to give things a realistic flavor. Kind of like radio voting on a more specialized scale.

Keep in mind that the valedictorian will be expected to make a speech at graduation. All essays need to be submitted as a screened comment here by next Sunday, April 26th, so that there'll be plenty of time for figuring things out before graduation. If you have any questions, leave them here as well, and they'll be unscreened!

Hey, guys!

This is just a quick reminder that today is the last day for early applications for anyone losing a student character this summer or new to the game! If it comes in later than tonight 12:00 am PST, it'll be considered with the rest of the apps and due by April 26th.

Which... isn't a problem. But. You know. FYI.
