In case you missed it, applications for the spring semester are officially open, and on a specific note, the librarian position is open again. If you'd like to apply for a character for this position, they should be classified as a "teacher" on the application form, but instead of a course description, tell us how your character is specifically suited for the position, and any ideas you have for better serving the school and town. Current adult characters may also apply for this position -- if that's the case, this is the only section of the application you need to fill out, besides name, rank, and serial number.

I'd kick this off proclaiming it a most wonderful time of the year, but there can only be so many mosts, and I would hate to get boring and leave you all without a proper tag in. So. SALUTATIONS, FANDOM.

Looking for a change of locale? Tired of wanting to stuff your roommate down a garbage chute with a sock for a gag? Or are you looking for new and exciting people to torture with your poor hygiene habits? We're sorting out roommates again, so if you're looking for a new one, toss your name into the RNG here!

We'll take new roommates both from the new pile of characters coming up next term, or throw you in with an oldbie also looking for a change. If you want to request a specific room change, fh_office is still the place for this: this one's for anyone who just wants to be random-picked.

Please note that we can't guarantee you'll get someone, but we'll certainly try the best we can!

Hello hello!

First of all, an announcement! Just to clarify, spotlights can now be written by anyone, provided that the active members of the fandom agree! (ie, I could totes hit up youcantfollow for a True Blood assist, since I know she watches, but lickyourmind would have to agree too!) If you would like to help with a spotlight, please contact the members of said fandom via email to offer your services!

That being said, we have Vampire Academy, Rogue Angel Black Jewels Trilogy, and Dogma this time around! Remember, spotlights for this round should be posted by Sunday, December 6th, and can be posted at any time!

Secret Santa!

It's that VERY SPECIAL TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!! Every year, we do an OOC Secret Santa gift exchange. The way this works is pretty easy. You sign up in this post by midnight on Saturday, November 28th. By doing so, you will be assigned a Secret Santa to make you a gift, and you'll also be responsible for a gift for someone. Emails will go out on Sunday (Optimistically, anyway. I work retail, you guys.), telling you who your RNG-assigned Secret Santa is.

You will have until December 23rd to make them gifts, and here's the catch -- you can't buy anything for them, with the exception of paid LJ time, or extra userpics, that sort of thing.

When you sign up, please include a list of things you'd like, as a note to your Secret Santa. For example:

You can make as many or as few things for your Secret Santa as is convenient for you, and the notes are, naturally, just guidelines -- you don't have to follow their wishlist to the letter! It's just to give you an idea. Please do remember that you signed up and are responsible for a gift for them, though.

On December 23rd, we'll do our reveal post, where you can give and receive your gifties! Yaaaay!
