Reminder: FH Location Poll

Just a heads-up (I'll post another tomorrow, no fear) that the location poll closes Saturday night at 11:59 PST (aka 3:00 Sunday morning for us Easterners).

While I've got y'all here, though, just as an FYI, the wait for Release 90 will probably not be more than a week or so more, because the Russian-language beta just opened.

There are no obvious changes to the Classic Comments that I can see, but that may not mean anything. With Release 89, the Classic Comments weren't even enabled yet when it went to Russian Beta, so it may very well be that any updates or fixes will likewise not show up until the English-language beta that we don't have access to.

What is coming that actually looks useful (or like we as RPers will care about it at all) are:

• The <lj-spoiler> tag. It basically works like a cut-tag (and has the same grammar for creating it) but it works on flists, in posts, and in comments, providing a link that, when you click it, reveals the hidden spoiler info without reloading the page. (Though if you're reading comments by e-mail, you'll see the full html, including the spoiler, just like you would if someone manually whited-out information in their comment by changing the text color.)



• Scheduling a post and changes to pre- and post-dating posts. None of the functions we use to tweak the order of posts in our journals are gone; they've just moved things around a bit, and added the ability to pre-write a post and then have it post live to your friendslist at some date in the future.

Once that stuff really goes live, I'll stick up an info-post about the updates and how they work. (Or... don't work, as the case may be.)
