Who (besides Ender Wiggin) has never wanted to be the super-sparkly special center of attention, warping characters and events out of all recognition to make the story ALL. ABOUT. YOU? Next weekend, August 11 and 12, you'll get the chance to do just that.

The multiverse, needing someplace to dump a pile of reality-warping troublemakers for a while until it can straighten out the fabric of the universes they've been rampaging through, will open a portal in the park on Saturday morning, but it won't be your AU kids spilling out. Instead, it will be a swarm of Mary Sues and Gary Stus, all specifically attracted to Fandom Island because they share a canon with at least one Fandomite.

LJ Release 95 and Commenting Stats

In non-news, Livejournal Release 95 went live yesterday: News | LJ Releases. It's non-news because there's nothing in there this time that should affect our general RP experience, except for a bug-fix on the missing Expand link on top-level comments in custom styles, which they say is fixed, but... isnt. At least not for all styles. If we get more news on that one (for instance if someone from staff ever deigns to answer my question), we'll let you know.

Buuuut in the meanwhile, they did release a fun toy that lets paid and permanent users see the top 1000 commenters in their journals -- or any comms they're maintainers of -- for any given date-span of up to a year.

So for your amusement and/or nostalgia and/or facepalming, here's the Fandom High Commenting Stats in FH, Dorms, Townies and OOC, year by year, back to the start of the game.

We haven't done this since April, and I feel like having a giant group hug today. So, here's how it works:

1. Make a comment to this post with the name of your character. (If you play more than one character, you can make a comment for each of them.)
2. Go through and leave anonymous comments in other characters' threads saying nice things about them. (About the character or how they're played, or even something you like about the player; any of this is acceptable as long as they're nice things.)
3. Read the comments your characters get and feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
