Hello, my squishies! Class sign-ups will be completely over tomorrow night at 11:59 PM PST, but you already knew that.

However, tonight at 11:59 PST is the last moment for regular class sign-ups. Once 3 a.m. my time hits (...yes, there will be coffee, trust me), I will be going through to freeze all full or over-full classes -- so if you want to be in the RNG for those classes, get your sign-up in before then.

Tomorrow, those classes that are not full will still be open for sign-ups, and those classes that have less than 10 sign-ups will be open for those of you who'd like a class #9 or #10 above your normal player-limit of 8.

I'll also be using tomorrow to get those RNGs done ahead of time, so those unlucky few will be hearing from me as the day goes on so you can choose additional classes if needed while class sign-ups are still open, instead of having to wait.

Questions? Comments? Kumquats? Dirty comments about kumquats?

And that's all we have for this morning!

With new characters announced, it's time for that other pile of nutty, overly-complicated fun: signing up for Summer Session 2 Workshops! These sign ups are for both NEW and RETURNING students!

New Procedures and New Courses Within! )

[OOC: Kidnapped and edited from many who have gone before, most recently [livejournal.com profile] decoder_rings. OPEN! Have at it! FISHHOOKS for Bobby "Beartalky" McCute.]

Good morning! This is just a reminder that sign ups for summer workshops will close MIDNIGHT EST on Friday, May 7th (that's 9:00PM on May 6th for PST people and 5:00AM on May 7th for GMT/UTC)! If you haven't signed up or want to make changes, please remember to do before the deadline!

ETA: And cabin sign ups will be closing at midnight PST, Sunday, May 9th!
[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com
With new characters accepted, it's time for more fun stuff! Yep, time to sign your kids up for their new summer workshops! And I dunno if sign ups have EVER been posted this early but they are going up NOW because waking up at the ass crack of dawn is boring otherwise! These sign ups are for both NEW and RETURNING students!

Please read the following before you start sifting through the wonder array of workshop choices:

Teacher and Student Workshop Expectations. The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High Summer Camp. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - a refresher never hurts!

Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.

The INTERESTING and IMPORTANT stuff:

1) Students must sign up for at least 2 classes and may sign up for as many as 4. Additionally, no player may sign up for more than 8 classes in total (so if you have 4 students, they can have 2 classes each. 3 or 2 students, any combination of up to 8 overall, with no more than 4 per character).

2) For any classes that exceed their maximum numbers:

a. If you have two characters signed up for one class, one will be ousted (so make a note of which you'd prefer get in should this happen, if you have a preference).

b. Student characters played by the teacher of the class will also get ousted.

c. Students who have already taken the same class from the same teacher will also be eliminated, so please note in your ping if you're attempting to repeat the course.

d. If the class still has too many, it will be RNG'd; if you have been RNG'd out, we will let you know as soon as possible, so you can choose a second alternative.

3) If you're a TA for a class, you need to sign up for that class, and it will count towards your maximum of 4/minimum of 2, but the TA is not counted when determining if the class is full (full class = 20+TA). Also, your student character cannot be the TA for your teacher character. That's just silly.

4) If it's OOC for your character to take the workshop but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap.

5) If you sign up, you need to show up. Class attendance is how we keep track of your character's activity. If you repeatedly fail to at least sign in to classes, we'll have to contact you about it, and you could be asked to leave the game.

6) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion. My crush on Dimitri is unlikely to change and that's why I'm planning on punching Rose in the throat. Them's the breaks, kids!

7) Sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve, to be fair to people in all timezones. Excess numbers in classes will be whittled down with the handy-dandy Random Number Generator (RNG).

And now we get to the AMAZERING part!

YOUR SUMMER I 2010 CLASS SCHEDULE!!

Class sign-ups close at MIDNIGHT EST on Friday, May 7th (that's 9:00PM on May 6th for PST people and 5:00AM on May 7th for GMT/UTC). No late sign-ups are allowed without extenuating circumstances or proper arrangements (so sign up early in case something comes up). If you don't sign up on time, you'll have to wait for the next semester to play, and that's a long wait.

GENERAL FYI: It's totally fine to make changes to your class choices so long as you do it before the deadline. I use the final pings in each thread to make the class lists, not the email notifs.

Questions or difficulties, please email us - administration(@)fandomhigh.net - or drop a question in the Questions thread down below. All questions about things not related to class will, however, incur a cookie, pie, or nudity fee for answering.

Like last time, post recopied and edited from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] thatsamilkshake AND [livejournal.com profile] guardian_god. Sparkles courtesy of that wench I stole them from and it's way too freaking early to do this much OCD so you'd all better love me for it.

Please remember to sign up for classes by midnight EST tomorrow night!

If you've got a sign-up related problem, hit me up on AIM at missedthegate or email administration(@)fandomhigh.net !

You might not have noticed the general squeeish feelings coming from the Flist, but it's nearing the start of a new semester and, as such, time to sign up for 2010 Spring Semester classes! These sign-ups are for both returning and new students!

Please read the following before you start singing up:

7) Sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve, to be fair to people in all time-zones, fake or real. Excess numbers in classes will be whittled down with the handy-dandy Random Number Generator (RNG).

Just a tap on the shoulder to remind everybody that class sign-ups end at midnight PST tonight (3 AM my time, and yes, I'll probably still be awake :-P ) so get your students in there, if you haven't!

For the record, the classes that are already over-full and will need to be Random-Number-Generated down to size are Ethics & Etiquette, Destiny & Free Will, and Tactics - so if you're signed up for one of those, you might want to cast a look around for a backup class just in case.

Wheeeeeee, it's that time again! Well, it's Monday where I am, and I'm going with whichever time-zone lets me post nownownow. (Shut up, it's my first time to ever post this. *bounce*) These sign-ups are for both returning and new students!

Class sign-ups close at midnight PST on July 2, 2009. (3 a.m. on July 3rd for EST people, of which I are one.) Hellooooo, everybody!

Just a little reminder that workshop sign-ups close Saturday, May 9th at approximately Midnight PST. There's a minimum of two classes per student, a maximum of eight per player, so get in those last minute sign-ups before it's too late!
[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com
WAIT JUST A MOMENT! If you comment before I finish the OCD, HEADS WILL ROLL! IT IS UP! GO FORTH LIKE RABID MONKEYS. Please read the following while you wait patiently for my slow butt:

Teacher and student expectations: The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Even if you've seen these things fifty gazillion times, a refresher scan never hurts.

Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - first name then last name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier. Even if it does sometimes lead to problems like everyone thinking Chad's name is basically Chad Chad. *cough*

The boring but important stuff:

1) Students must sign up for at least 2 classes and may sign up for as many as 4. Additionally, no player may sign up for more than 8 classes in total (so if you have 4 students, they can have 2 classes each. 3 or 2 students, any combination of up to 8 overall, with no more than 4 per character).

6) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion. Teacher's shape is subject to change according to Fandom weirdness. These are just facts of life.

7) Sign-ups are most certainly not first-come, first-serve. As mentioned, excess numbers in classes will be whittled down randomly. Still, anyone has the green light to start signing up for character, newly coming in and old students alike.

And now we get to the good stuff! Remember, your class schedule can be found here. Please note, the 'TBA' class in the Friday, Fourth Period spot is a Public Speaking course and can be found in the OCD as such.

Class sign-ups close at midnight PST on May 09, 2009. No late sign-ups are allowed without extenuating circumstances or proper arrangements (so sign up early in case something comes up). If you don't sign up on time, you'll have to wait for the next Semester to play, and that's a long wait.

Workshop Expectations for Students and Teachers (please read first)

1) Students are required to sign up for at least 2 but no more than 4 workshops. Additionally, no player may sign up for more than 8 workshops (so if you have 4 students, 2 workshops each. 3 or 2 students, any combination up to 8 overall and 4 per character. 1 student can still only have a maximum of 4).
2) This is not first come, first served as that is unfair due to time zones.
3) If there are too many people signing up for the one workshop then after sign-ups close names will be drawn out of a hat to decide who gets in (so even if the workshop hits maximum, keep signing up as you have an equal chance of getting in as the first person does). If a suitable hat of outstanding character cannot be found, we'll use a number generator. Either way, it will be random and fair.
4) Those who do not get in will be allowed to pick a back-up workshop if they want. This will have to be done over the weekend after sign-ups close, so prepare to respond quickly.
5) If you have more than one character signed up for a workshop, please state what character you would prefer to get in if you have a preference. If the workshop reaches its maximum number of students, only one of your characters will get in. If you have a student character in a workshop that your teacher is teaching, they will miss out to give others a chance to play. Your student character cannot be TA for your teacher character.
6) If it's OOC for your character to take the workshop but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was a paperwork mishap for IC reasons.
7) TAs - if you are a student (not a graduated senior), you must sign up for the workshop you are TAing for. The workshop will count towards your workshop total (4 max). Please specify that you are the TA for the workshop when signing up.
8) TAs do not count towards the total number of people in the workshop (ie: a full workshop is 20+TAs). There is a maximum of 2 TAs per workshop.
9) By signing up, you agree to participate for the entire term (7 weeks). Attendance will be recorded as showing up to workshops is how we keep track of your character's activity in the game. If you repeatedly fail to attend workshops, you will be contacted and are subject to removal from the workshop and the game.
10) Workshop descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.
11) 11 is ridiculous. It's not even funny.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pick your workshop. Respond to that workshop's thread below with your character's name. Lather, rinse, repeat. Please use your character's respective journal for their sign-ups. New characters sign up here too.

Weekly Workshop Schedule (this will eventually be linked to on the [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh user info page).

Workshops sign-ups close at midnight PST on Friday, July 4. No late sign-ups are allowed without extenuating circumstances (so sign up earlier in case something comes up). Students who do not sign up in time will be removed from the game and have to reapply for the Fall.

Workshops are for students only. Graduated seniors from this year are now alumni and are not eligible to take summer workshops. They need to arrange a TAship, have a steady job or work on the community project in town.

Please direct any questions, problems or marriage proposals to administration@fandomhigh.net.

Please wait for the OCD to be finished and for this notice to be crossed out before commenting/signing up in case a comment needs to be edited. Please. Have at it.

ETA: Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style from now on (first name then last name).
