These lists already exist and already have volunteers attached... but I need clean, fresh entries to link to the main information pages of the various communities, please. I also need you to be absolutely sure of the accuracy before we link them.

The list of people at the dorms and where they're living. If the person maintaining that could make a new, clean entry (ie one with no comments) and double check to be certain of its accuracy, I want to link it to the main info page of the dorms community. It is very important that this list be both accurate and kept updated.

The list of clubs and, if possible, the names of the various maintainers. This one will take a lot of work and a number of polls to find out who's still around, who's interested and a what's going on. Kudos to the fencing club for rising pheonix-like from the ashes and to those that managed to keep going. An accurate and kept up to date list will be needed to be established and maintained.

The Telephone Tree (and thank you so very, very, very much).

I would also, if I can find someone dedicated and masochistic enough, like someone to make an updated list of teachers, their subjects, and currently enrolled students. We may be losing a couple more teachers, so it would have to be a list-in-progress at the moment.

There was something else, too, but I have to get ready for work. Please leave comments as to suggestions, thoughts, etc.

Just remember, a tidy info page with informational links is your friend!

Also any students who would like to "play detective" are welcome to join in.

I'll be making threads to cover different topics. See below.

Hi. This may have been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

Is there a policy on locked posts? Not the kind that say [Locked] - the kind that actually are locked to a small group of people? If so, what is the policy pertaining to locking posts and RP?

My general thought is that if I want to rp somewhere private, that I should be able to lock the post to the people that would be in/have access to the room we're playing in, provided it was a personal residence and not somewhere like Spike's Pub or a classroom. If we filter, should we include an admin on the filter, and if so, could we please get a list of admins that should be included?

Thanks.

Draco and the Swedish Chef (cause he's such the chatterbox) might not be on too much tonight because:
1. It's Lost night. Woo! Hatch-Opening!
2. It's the mun's birthday. And she needs cake. LOT'S OF CAKE!

Alright, the friending and filters were driving me crazy with trying to keep up, so I decided to avoid actual work be productive and make a new friending list.

To do the whole shebang, you'll have to go into your Edit Custom Friends Groups and create four filters: comms, students, teachers, and townies. Don't forget to save the changes before the next step!

Then go over to the Admin Console and copy/paste the entire list in (or one section at a time). Hit "execute" and it should do its magic!

Questions? Aren't on the list? A name in the wrong filter? That's what comments are for.

And here's the list. )

'lo folks. This is [livejournal.com profile] _notanumber with his spanking new School Webmaster identity (must update type table in database), Marshall Flinkman from Alias. I'll be doing all FandomHigh.com updates with Marshall from here on out.

My goal this weekend (as my weekend runs Fri-Sat) is to get the site into a basic working order. I'm working on a number of different things, but I have a specific purpose for this post:

Help me help you

There's a lot of very smart people in this game, many talented writers. I need direction here. Any suggestions for pertinent pages or very informational pages.

Hey-dee Ho everyone. I need a favor from someone on the board.

Homecoming is October 7th (A Friday). However, I will not be able to post on that day. I will be stuck in a hotel ballroom with sweaty old ladies who want to know why I'm not married, and chugging at least a bottle of free white wine. Yay, work functions.

What I Need: Someone to post Homecoming Field Day.

I will give you explicit instructions a few days before so you know what is needed. I need you to host the post, and post a few comments to it for the various "stations." Other than that, everything will be taken care of in advance. The "volunteers" will know what is going on and will be ready, and I already have someone to post the dance (crown the King and Queen, have the ticket list, blahblah) so never fear. (Hugs to [livejournal.com profile] allie_cameron for that.)

It will SPAM THE EVERLOVING HOO-HA out of your Inbox though, so you may need to turn off forwarding for the afternoon.

You need to be able to post that Friday morning, and keep an eye on the thread to make sure nothing batshit crazy happens. Also, you can't use you posting the thread as a big plot to do something crazy to the Homecoming festivities. Do that IC in the thread, but the actual posting of the Field Day will be drawn up in advance.

And while I'm here: my characters will obviously not be able to go to Homecoming, so scratch the date idea for any of them, or the chaperoning. Sorry if they have tickled your loins erroneously. *wink* I knew that day was bad, but didn't remember why until today, but I didn't pick the date so I'm blaming someone else. But Rover, you'll still always be my baby.

Questions, comments - fire away. I just really need someone to do this, because if no one is willing I don't want to put any more work into it. Thanks in advance.

It would be wrong to try to find a way to put Fandom High into LJ's official schools directory, right?

Yeah, I thought so.

Ahem.
