It's turning out to be a very draining week for me both at work and at home. As such, I'm probably going to be mia until the weekend, or something changes.

I'm confused. What weekend is Homecoming?

Ok, because several of us are very confused as to what's happening on which date...

I propose making a Fandom High Calendar, via Yahoo! Calendars or something equally accessible. I'm willing to set one up and maintain it, if people think that'd be a good idea.

However, I have /no/ clue what dates things like Homecoming, Student Council, Parent's Weekend, etc are happening on, so.. if you want to see it on there, please comment here.

For ease of reference, I used Alexandria, Virginia for the time settings, and there's even a weather forecast for the city linked :P

So far, Homecoming is on there.

Okay, here's the deal. Crane has something big planned on Homecoming and he's working with Callisto. But first, he needs to test it on the lovely folks of fandomtownies. We were thinking that one or both of you could be the "poor" unfortunate people who get duped into trying out the toxin at, say, Spike's pub or one of the other's bars?

And, we'd of course need an unfortunate victim of the fear toxin. This thing's not potent so the effects wouldn't be permanent like in Batman Begins, so don't worry about your character going completely insane.

So, that said, anyone game?

And please, to those in charge of the law, you shouldn't catch Crane or Callisto. They should be able to get away with it this time. I would like Crane to make it to Homecoming and any punishment can be given then. Mwaahahaha

ATTENTION: People Interested In the Missing Persons Plot

We've had a lot of characters go missing in a very short period of time(I don't have an actual concrete number handy, but I'd say it's more than 50, less than 100, roughly). We're also probably coming up on another open enrollment and we'd like to get a clear idea of what characters are and aren't available to be enrolled. In the interest of dealing with both of these problems at the same time, the admin hive-mind wants to both make a suggestion AND put out a call for volunteers interested in gathering information related to the missing persons. The suggestion is as follows:

We need to create a list of all those characters who have gone missing.

Then we need to contact each and every one of them(leave a comment to their character journal marked URGENT).

When we make contact we need to ask them which of five things has happened to their character:

1. Gone for good - someone else can re-enroll the character under a different journal.
2. Gone for good - we can use the character in the missing persons plot as we see fit.
3. Gone for good - they want to put the character journal up for adoption.
4. Temporarily gone - with IC and OOC reasons.
5. Temporarily gone - we can use the character in the missing persons plot as we see fit.

Once we have that information, we can both further plot and create an accurate list of characters already in play.

So, yeah, I know I'm crazy, but the good crazy, right?

1. Please welcome dean_bristow, our new Dean of Students. He is fandomhigh admin number three and what he says, goes.

2. Also welcome fh_resaffairs who will be in charge of all things dorm and residence related.

3. trulydeath is currently in charge of keeping the Townies list organized, and fandomtownies is again open for new membership. Members are, however, required to register so we can keep track of them. Thank you.

Student Elections - Debate Anyone?

In case you've always wondered what a dean of students does, his essential function is to act as the liaison between administration and the student body. He is the judge, jury, and executioner who cares. Unless he's Jack Bristow. Not so much with the caring then.

Student Elections are in full swing. I propose a debate to be held next week. Any office where more than one candidate expresses interest in participating may engage in a war of words. Any office where only one candidate is interested or there is only one candidate may give a brief speech outlining their platform. The debate will need a teacher "moderator" to engage the candidates with points to discuss and whatnot. If this sounds boring, then you have not met anyone who actually attends this school.

Please express interest here and we'll work towards organizing a date.
