Can someone from the party at Spike's please let me know where I end up after the bar closes. And what condition I'm in. I'll play to it tomorrow afternoon after work, but I have to know what you all do to me to react properly. :) Last thread I could find, I'd been rolled by a couple of prostitutes(?) and was still on the floor with a condom on my nose.

OOC: god-mode apology to Colo crew and a few friends re homecoming tickets

This morning in thinking over the rules given, it occurred to me that one of Beka's freak fits of generosity actually constituted god-moding on my part. I'm really sorry.

When Beka went to buy Homecoming tickets, she was feeling rather flush and happy with her friends. She bought tickets for a bunch of people. I should've contacted each of you first to see if that conflicted with any of your plans.

It's the sort of thing I do all the time in life, and it never occurs to me in RL that people might prefer it otherwise either. Wasn't trying to box anyone in or interrupt any plans, just wasn't thinking.

If she bought tickets for you, and you'd prefer it otherwise, respond here, and we can deal with it IC or OOC as you prefer.

My apologies. Honestly.

In order to help out the various student candidates, Marshall Flinkman has graciously offered to post their campaign materials on the website so that everyone can see them without having to hunt madly through the communities... which is what I was doing today with severely limited success.

Could the various candidates please post their campaign materials in the comments or links to posts wherein said materials can be found? Posters, declarations of intent, buttons... all of it. Please help us to help you.

Administrative Notice

Several weeks ago, the admin had a conversation with a player who had changed their characters canonical background. Everything was resolved to mutual satisfaction and all was sunny and bright. Many kudos to the player for being a good sport and understanding why it was done. However, it has come to the admin attention that there will need to be an addition to the rules to establish and explain this standing.

This is a reminder to all players that you are supposed to be playing the character you applied for. You have an established canonical background of your character, plus or minus fiddling with the laws of time and space to allow for age/timeline variances. You are not allowed to change your canonical background. When you applied for your characters, we approved them as they were. Changes to their background outside canon, after the fact, changes your character into something which was not approved by the admin.

Example: Angelus, Spike, Dru, Buffy, Willow, Xander, Faith and Oz all come from the same base canon. The have, however, chosen to pull their individual characters from different times and places within that canon and this has resulted in some reshuffling as things which are true for some characters don't apply to others. However, all base canon has remained the same.

Changes in your character resulting from things that occur in the game are allowed, encouraged and occasionally arbitrarily inflicted. All of these are good. Change and growth and insane relationships are what we are all about. However, unless you're in a plot with the Doctor that involves going back and changing your character's past significantly, you may not alter your character's base canon. Once you do this, you are no longer running the character as it was submitted for enrollment and your character is no longer the one approved by the admin.

This game was set up for fan characters to attend school and watch them interact like crazy. Literally. Enrollment was in place to allow the admin to review and approve characters. If, after registration, you made a major change to your character's established canon, your character will be asked to have their canon revert to standard.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been around lately. Thankfully, this is because I'm now getting a paycheck! Sadly paycheck=no time for anything on top of school and trying to maybe sleep. Homecoming "Pictures"

So I was thinking that it would be fun is someone or several someones that are graphically talented (ie NOT me) did "homecoming pictures" for the couples attending the dance.

I know that it would be fairly labor intensive, but perhaps if each character provided the picture for you to use, it would help?

I dunno if anyone would be willing to do this or not - just thought it might be a fun idea to throw out.

My Characters, Back from the Dead

Okay, so remember when I said I was going to quit? Meh, maybe not. (Me? Indecisive? No!) Once I paired down a little bit, and with the administration of this game kicking so much ass to address a lot of issues, and my big, honking love for the players here, I've decided to stay after all with the support of the admins yet again. Did I mention they rock?

This is the deal.

drgrissom and mrsvandekamp have still been teaching and popping up now and again, so instead of giving them up when new enrollment comes around they'll just continue as is. I don't tend to get them involved in many out-of-class plots directly, but they are always willing to be pulled into plots by their students or random passer-bys. Please, feel free to yank them out of the labs if they can help you develop something. Or you want to tie either of them up. Not saying that they would like it. Oh no. Never.

iwasawesome was adopted by someone who is exceedingly lovely and, in fact, awesome. Go have fun with her, as she is great. (And Rover+Lilly is still my OTP for life.)

lisacuddy will be back as a student by tomorrow. She's like a cold sore, she just won't go away. Basic plot - she left school to go home, and that didn't work out for some reason and now she's back. Why? She isn't saying. She will not be trying to get back into the elections race as a candidate, and master_of_fear is now running Science Club. She will be begging her teachers to let her back into class (the classes that are still around, that is), begging House for her clinic job back, and trying to find a new place to live. All her backstory thus far will remain completely intact, however.

I'll make sure I notify all the proper authorities of Cuddy's stats and get her info updated as soon as I straighten it out.

In chat with a mod, the question was posed regarding what genres are represented here at Fandom High. So I put together the list and am posting here for everyone's amusement. This isn't to make anyone feel left out or outnumbered by any other genre, just as general information for those of us who like to know things that are completely useless.

And, we're just trying to get a general idea at this point, so only choose one and don't worry about cross-over genres (SciFi/Western or Horror/Thriller, for example). Just pick the closest fit.
