By 1030 CST I hope to have everyone in the dorm and OOC comm straightened out, all the people in the Townies request thread added to the main list, my students sorted out, homework graded and class begun.

However I have not had time to read any of the non-class related threads, nor will I till tonight. If you want/need Professor Jerusalem for anything, you will have to make a direct plea for my attention.

Also, I cannot check my outside e-mail from work. This means that if I respond somewhere in the insane morass of threads, there's a good chance that I'll never find my way back. Again, if you want/need my attention until tonight outside of my class thread, unless you make a direct post here, you're going to be SOL.

I should be quite a bit more organized tomorrow.

PLEASE READ

All students and faculty.

Go here: http://www.livejournal.com/manage/invites.bml

Accept any outstanding invitations. We have people who want to participate but cannot be added to the comms because we still have too many outstanding invitations. If some of you don't respond by the end of the day, I'm going to start posting lists of those of you who the people waiting need to discuss this with instead of me.

Do it, or Prof Jerusalem will be coming to see you, individually, with his bowel disruptor. (Providing he can get it back from Krycek).

Edit: Please remember to keep checking if you haven't gotten your invite yet. Some of the names won't fit in and I have to stop and wait for people to accept. Please also note that some people who probably shouldn't be in the dorms have been added. If that happens to you, do not ignore the invitation, please either accept or decline, otherwise the invite remains to clog up the system.

Also, Townies, please comment here to be added to OOC. I know there are a number who aren't members of FandomHigh who need access there and I'm having problems separating some of the extra journals that are watching from those who are townies, as my own townie list is still not complete.

Further Edit: The main back up in invites is at the fandom dorms. Please everyone check your invites and clear out some of this backlog.

Music students - I don't have time to sort through you all today. But if your enrolment is approved by Principal Connor, consider yourself in the class. I'll try to update the roster in the next day.

Update

[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com
Everyone save the Townies who haven't responded to my last post now has posting rights to the OOC community... or simply hasn't gone and accepted their invitations yet.

I'm still badly backed up at the dorms community. If you know someone who isn't appearing on the members list, make them check their invites. Use force, if necessary.

I'm hoping to have this all in order by tonight.

Dawn has decided that she wants to teach sex Education as well as her Theatre Courses. Is that alright with everyone?
[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com
Here's the latest version.

I still need a list of Madam Satine's employee livejournals to go with the entry she gave me, but otherwise that's all the information that I have to date. Please, if you live/work/own a business in town, make a comment below with the full information so that I can add you to the list. I'm hoping to have it linked to the main page eventually, so that everyone can see what's available and who lives here without having to troll through the entire community searching for information.

Thank you.

Also, if you are a Townie and have not yet received an invitation to Fandomhigh OOC, please comment and I will add you as soon as possible.

Would the following students and teachers please proceed immediately to http://www.livejournal.com/manage/invites.bml and accept or decline all community invitations. This is especially important in the case of teachers who were accidentally added and don't want access, as not declining still holds up the process.

Unfortunately, I can't do anything about the people who signed up and then wandered off. Their invites will remain clogging up the queue.

My computer is in the shop for repairs and won't be back until tomorrow night at the earliest. In the interest of having William not get detention this early, may I appeal to his professors to assume that he was in class today and tomorrow, and I'll play catchup when I have my computer back again, and am not just jumping on for five minutes at the library?

I'm really new to this community, as well as this style of roleplaying. There are so many things going on at once that I've been getting really confused.

This biggest question that I have is in regards to classes. What classes are new students automatically registered in, and how do I register for certain classes? What's this about homework that I've been reading? Is there a cheat sheet to all of this, a page or two that I can just Favorite and go to when I'm lost?

Sorry if I'm annoying anyone, but I really want to be involved in this, but I have very little clue as to what's going on. >_

Hey everyone -

I obviously dig the voicemail/office hours/etc. system of establishing a post for leaving players messages. I have them set up for my characters, and think they are great.

BUT the thing you want to do is establish the post, and backdate it. Then link to it in your profile, or mention it in your next regular post, so all the F'Lists of the community aren't bombed today with 200 voicemail messages.

Just click the "Entry is Backdated" box if you aren't familiar with it, it is in the bottom menu on the update screen with your icon selection, etc. Click here for more details.

Thanks everyone. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fandom_clinic is open for any "medical issues" you come across. New players should feel free to join and interact with the clinic staff and school nurse.

I work for a web hosting company, just started today. As part of the package, I get a free hosting account and *domain*. I have enough useless domains clogging up my whatever domains clog up. I was thinking I could put this to something *useful*.

FandomHigh.com, anyone (I'd get .edu, but it's reserved for non-fictional schools)?

I could set up a rudimentary "school website." Nothing fancy and nothing too involved. I might even be able to figure out a way that students can have personal pages.

Plus, I might be able to set up e-mail addresses for teachers/administrators and possibly students.

Anyway. Let me know what ya'll think. Especially [livejournal.com profile] principalconnor since I won't do this without her specific "yes."

ETA: To clarify -- the game would stay on LJ. The site would simply be an extension of the game.
[identity profile] not-an-ex-demon.livejournal.com
are people creatively changing times of their posts to make it appear as though things are happening at night, morning, afternoon, whatever? i'm having trouble keeping track, in part because livejournal seems to creatively rearrange post times itself. so i rarely know when any of the events are taking place and it makes it difficult to decide whether it makes sense to interact with people...

in a similar vein, how are people handling the problem of everyone logging in at somewhat different times? i'd like to have anya go home, but for example she hasn't had her 10am class (Business 301 with Prof. Cregg) yet, and i'm not sure whether I should just backdate tomorrow when she reflects on the day's experiences in her own journal. i'm also having problems progressing any plot for similar reasons...

*whine whine whine grumble grumble* seriously, how are you guys getting around the inherent problems? i'm such a newbie.

I'm really not feeling well and thus am going to bed. Any professor who would have mercy and allow Wednesday to have been present in classes today anyway will have my undying gratitude. Otherwise, I'll take my lumps and think up an excuse when I'm feeling better.

Sorry.

OOC entry for class structure for [livejournal.com profile] abe_no_seimei’s History classes.

As I work during the day and can’t be guaranteed time online to futz around, this is the best way I can come up with keeping up with things.

Following [livejournal.com profile] game_of_you's and [livejournal.com profile] the_ascended’s class structure, showing up in the entry constitutes showing up in class and participating. I’ll post a discussion question which you are free to discuss or, as in other classes, goof off.

You won’t actually need to submit essays for the classes. I will read them when I have time and if you are so inclined. A suggestion would be to keep them under 200 words for your ease if you absolutely have to write something but like I said, you don’t have to. Just indicate whether you turn something in, in the comments and what quality your character is submitting (pass/fail, brilliant, garbled, nonexistent.

Each class will have a separate post. I’ll do my best to post the entries at the times of the classes providing I have the time during the day to get to them. Otherwise, when the entry is posted, assume it happened at the right time.

My apologies if this is inconvenient for anyone. The RL work schedule is just unreliable.

Certainly, if you have any suggestions, feel free to lay them on me, I'm open to them.

Random info on Alanna that people may want:

1. She's short.
2. A red head.
3. With violet eyes.
4. She's very athletic.

Apologies...

Anyone that my characters were supposed to interact with tonight?

Replies will be sporadic. After being trapped in a car in traffic for 3 hours, I apparently got overheated.

So, trying to cool off and resting. I'll do my best to reply, but as I said, the replies will be sporadic.

Thanks, guys.

[identity profile] cyloninyourhead.livejournal.com
I am playing Six from Battlestar Galactica. She is a Cylon, who has unlimited identical bodies and can transfer her consciousness when she dies.

The character I'm playing is almost two characters.

Shelley Godfrey, an alias of Six, is the character the students and teachers will interact with on a daily basis. She will appear perfectly normal and human.

Six is a constant companion to [livejournal.com profile] cyloninmyhead. No one can see her but him. She talks to him, guides him, and generally makes him appear crazy to everyone else. When this version of Six is being played, I'll be using this icon and the comments will be in italics.

No one knows Six is a Cylon except for [livejournal.com profile] cyloninmyhead and [livejournal.com profile] replicarter.

I hope all of this isn't too confusing. If there are any questions, let me know.

Okay, Paige, Draco, and Ripper: Janet has you three pegged as the most likely to have locked her in.

I don't want to post any sort of "Aha, it was you all along!" scene without getting together and figuring out who it was. And then we can figure out some way we can have Janet get revenge that everyone will have fun with.

So let me know if any of you guys really want to be the culprit and we can work out some kind of a showdown/resolution thingie. :)

Um. Things not worth mentioning here have come up, and looks like I can't keep up with the game. I'm sorry. It's been immensely much fun and I'm going to miss it. I'm not deleting my journal or leaving the comm, in the vague hopes that I might resume playing one day.

Does someone want to take over [livejournal.com profile] pumpkinhed, maybe one of the Sandmanverse-playing muns? If not, I think I can keep playing Merv, for continuity's sake. It's not as if he's going to be needed hugely often.
[identity profile] actingltcrumpet.livejournal.com
But RL stuff has intruded today and the mun is just beat, so I'm afraid Archie and [livejournal.com profile] futurebucs_star will just be in their rooms tonight and not feeling too sociable. I'll be reading everyone's posts for the next little while and may comment once or twice, but I'm just too tired to sustain any kind of actual RP session. Sorry, all.

PS: Shoutout to everyone Archie and Anders have interacted with in the past few days. You guys rock.
